Gunrunner: Darrell Issa claims the operation never had “any genuine purpose”

July 20, 2011

We all know the official story according to the Obama regime in regards to Operation Gunrunner; the Obama regime was allowing the sale of weapons to known Mexican criminals in the hopes that the weapons would be tracked back to higher level Mexican criminals. That story doesn’t hold water according to Darrell Issa, as can be heard here:

According to Darrell Issa, the federal government already knew who these upper level criminals were because there were FBI and DEA informants working on the case, therefore this operation had no “genuine purpose.” They already had information on the people who they claimed they were trying to find out about.

I would disagree with Darrel Issa on one point, while the Obama regime’s official story had no “genuine purpose” there was a purpose behind this operation and I have made my feelings known about the true intent of Operation Gunrunner several times in the past; Operation Gunrunner was being used in an effort to escalate a “crisis” at the Mexican border which the Obama regime thought it could exploit in an effort to “never let a good crisis go to waste.”

The more Darrell Issa uncovers about Operation Gunrunner the more nefarious it seems; if the official story has now been debunked by Darrel Issa–and it seems to me that it has been–then there must have been another reason for the operation, they simply weren’t doing it for the hell of it.

It makes one wonder, that’s for sure. I wonder sometimes if they weren’t trying to make it look like the weapons the drug cartels were using were all coming from the States, instead of just a small percentage. Anything to make it look like the 2nd Amendment ran amok, if you get my drift.

They did attempt to make the problem look worse than it was; there was a report that claimed 90% of the weapons recovered at Mexican drug scenes were from America, but it turned out that it was only 17%. Shortly after that “report” was found to be wrong Operation Gunrunner started. Sounds too fishy to me.

Yeah, this has gotten larger and more twisted the further it goes along. That’s an excellent point about “never let a good crisis go to waste.” One among many. This regime has had numerous useful crises. All of their own manufacture. It’s a shame and a crime people were murdered because of this one.

Nowadays, at least in Florida, if you are with the person who commits a murder, even though you didn’t pull the trigger, you are accused of murder also. If you are part of a crime team or gang and the cops kill one of you, you are also accused of murder. Following this logic, what punishment would befit Holder?

      Throw the book at him!

How many times have we heard Obama use the word “crisis?” Everything is a crisis to him and I think he does it intentionally in order to scare the people and the Congress into giving him what he wants.

Never let a good crisis go to waste even if you have to create the crisis. Sounds like Obama to me.

And the ATF is already ordering gun delaers at the border to track Americans who buy more than one “high powered” weapon at a time. What do they consider high powered? Any semi-auto greater than a .22, in other words virtually every weapon. This while they let known criminals have guns.

I think Issa was saying that this was not a legitimate crime fighting operation. He would be correct. Sounds like he’s basically balking at the “official” administration story and calling them liars. He would be correct there as well.

Steve I have no doubt the real reason this program was implemented. When they got egg in their face the first time around, when it was discovered there was really very little evidence to back their claim that a majority of the weapons used by the Mexican drug cartels was coming from America they decided they needed to do something about it. Operation gun runner was their answer. If it wasn’t for a few whistle blowers how would we have ever discovered this crime. The answer is we wouldn’t. Brit Hume from Fox News stated the other day that his is actually 10 times bigger than Watergate. I personally believe the more layers of this onion t the peel back, the closer it will get to the POTUS.

I only hope that Issa keeps at it, which appears he will. Fox is the only news network that is covering him. This Murdock thing is worrisome. There will be pressure on Fox to back off. Issa may find all the dirt, but unless the country hears about it, it will be for naught.

Well, nothing’s “genuine” with this regime

Right on Steve, what was the actual purpose- that’s what we want to know.

Like everything else just watch what they DO… and don’t put too much effort into trying to believe what they tell you
