Federal agents raid Gibson guitar factories

August 26, 2011

The Department of “Justice” doesn’t think that voter fraud or voter intimidation is a serious enough issue to pursue, so one of Eric Holder’s first moves was to dismiss the charges in the Black Panthers voter intimidation case. The Departments of Homeland Security and ICE are too busy with shutting down thousands of piracy websites–an understandable crackdown, but one that the DHS and ICE have no interest in involving themselves with–to concern themselves with issues such as enforcing the borders and deporting illegal aliens when they are caught, so Barack Obama decreed new looser immigration laws which included stopping the deportation of thousands of illegals. Barack Obama basically gave the departments charged with enforcing federal immigration laws permission to ignore federal law.

If the federal government is too busy to enforce federal immigration and voting laws there must be an issue that the Obama regime feels is more important for the government to focus on, and as we can read in this article it appears as if  “environmental justice” is what this regime is focused on.

The  Fish and Wildlife Service and the Department of “Justice” raided at least two Gibson guitar factories earlier today and confiscated pallets of wood because they believe the company may have illegally purchased wood from protected forests. A Gibson spokesman denied the claim and stated that all the wood was purchased legally.

When coupled with the news that the EPA is readying new regulations to implement Barack Obama’s cap and trade policy through dictate this story is frightening and I fear that this is only the beginning; we can expect more of this in the future as the Obama regime begins to crack down on “environmental criminals.”

We are now living in an age where the president of the United States, and his “Justice” department is hostile to American businessmen and the “Green Police” are beginning to flex their muscles. It is interesting to note that the Obama regime is more interested in cracking down on the American people through attacks on free market businesses than it is on enforcing the laws on the people who are in this country illegally.

The Obama regime cannot be bothered with enforcing federal election laws, and the Obama regime cannot be bothered with enforcing federal immigration laws, but the Obama regime has no reservations about cracking down on American companies with its new “green” regulations.

This is all about control and criminalizing the actions of otherwise law abiding citizens in order to push an agenda where the end game is the ultimate loss of the freedoms and liberties that the American people have always enjoyed.

We are quickly becoming a nation of dwindling freedoms; the government already is telling us what we should eat, what cars we should buy, and what type of healthcare insurance we must have, and this latest news is yet another attempt by the federal government to control even more aspects of our free market system; this administration is looking for more control over private industry and they have found what they feel is justification in doing so by using “environmental justice” to intimidate these corporations into falling in line with the whims of the Obama regime.

Most Americans would probably agree that there are more important issues for the federal government to be focused on, but for the Obama regime this is the most important issue because it offers them the opportunity to involve itself in otherwise private companies, with the ultimate goal being control through coercion.

The door is open a crack and the Obama regime feels as if it steps through that crack and enters the room that this will be the beginning of some wonderful new relationship–the partnership of once free businesses and the federal government.

At least we know now where the priorities of the Obama regime lie.

Everything this administration does is a calculated move. I whole-heartedly believe that. If we chose to accept it, then shame on us. It started out with small things and now they are getting bolder to test the water. Our way of life is going down the tubes, fast. At some point, even the illegals will not want to come here, then we will know the dirty deed has been finalized. This is not what I wanted for my children and grandchildren!

I agree, this regime does nothing by mistake. This is a calculated move to test the waters and if we accept this the next move from Obama will be even more intrusive. It is time for us to stand up and say enough is enough.

It is about time for the Congress to call Obama on the carpet and end this usurpation of free market ideals.

“We are quickly becoming a nation of dwindling freedoms…”

It is happening every day in a multitude of ways, Steve. Elections are coming up and this regime seems to care less. They just keep pushing an agenda that nobody wants. It frightens me how much more damage they can do be tween now and Jan. 2013. I wish Issa could put this Marxist, Holder, out of business soon. But it doesn’t look like that will happen.

I know they say to make your voice heard at the ballot box, but, when voter fraud is running wild, makes you wonder why you are voting. Don’t you get tired of ballots being found, just enough of them to put the other party over the top? Good old Illinois is probably top of the list with that going on. I have said before, the majority of downstate Illinois citizens are conservative, but we have to deal with the Chicago Way.

They will try to steal this election, that is why it is so important for us to win by large margins. We must get the word out there and we must get the people to the polls.

I think that is the plan, it almost seems as if Obama knows that he is going to lose so he is attempting to institute as many of his “fundamental changes” to America while he still can.

I agree, his administration is testing the waters. Look at the TSA. An agent of the federal government can violate your fourth amendment rights in the name of security. Until we as a people start holding our elected officials feet to the fire on both the local and national level we will continue to see our beloved constitution ignored. Until we actually vote these people out of office on a massive scale, our liberties will continue to disappear. People are getting used to the idea of the TSA even though this agency’s action is in clear violation of our constitution. We the people are to blame for this Steve.

A very good point John, they keep taking more and more a little at a time and as long as we allow them to do so they will continue to do so. It is up to us to put a stop to this as soon as possible.

Apparently there is an existing lawsuit against the last, uh, wood confiscation issue.

…Illegal wood. How would one even come across such information? I said the other day Republican candidates for president were focusing on one issue and ignoring so many other things Obama is doing that would-should outrage the American people. Here’s one more thing.

Gibson guitar was told by the federal government that they “would be better off manufacturing guitars in Madagascar.” This came straight from the mouth of Gibson’s CEO in a radio interview yesterday. Gibson has the actual document stating this and is in the process of issuing a report concerning this.
