Gunrunner: Audio tapes point to a government coverup at Brian Terry’s murder scene

September 19, 2011

Shortly after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by Mexican drug lords it was learned that the United States government had allowed the sale of the murder weapons to the drug lords as part of Operation Fast and Furious. The official government account of the murder scene stated that two weapons found at the scene were traced back to this deadly operation, but as I first wrote about here, it is quite possible that three weapons related to the scandal were found at the scene, but one was removed by federal agents because it was more easily traceable to Fast and Furious. The Operation Fast and Furious coverup was underway as soon as Brian Terry was murdered, and it continues to this day as Darrell Issa and Charles Grassley desperately try to get to the bottom of this scandal.

CBS News has now uncovered new audio recordings which point to a coverup beginning at Brian Terry’s murder scene.

CBS News has obtained secretly recorded conversations that raise questions as to whether some evidence is being withheld in the murder of a Border Patrol agent.

The tapes were recorded approximately mid-March 2011 by the primary gun dealer cooperating with ATF in its “Fast and Furious” operation: Andre Howard, owner of Lone Wolf Trading Company in Glendale, Arizona. He’s talking with the lead case ATF case agent Hope MacAllister.

The conversations refer to a third weapon recovered at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry

The story goes on to state that the audio tapes were received by the “Justice” Department several months ago and they swiftly turned the tapes over to the  U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona. This office is under investigation for its role in the deadly scandal. On the surface it seems very suspicious for the “Justice” Department to turn over evidence to the same entity that is under investigation. What other reason could the “Justice” Department have for this questionable move if it wasn’t done to tip off the Arizona office about the evidence against it?

It is now becoming quite clear that three Fast and Furious linked weapons were found at the murder scene of Brian Terry, and it is becoming quite clear that federal agents removed one of these weapons from the scene. Federal agents do not go around and tamper with evidence at the scenes of violent crimes unless someone above them ordered them to do so. And if someone from above did order the removal of a weapon from a crime scene it can easily be assumed that the federal government had something to hide.

With all of the revelations that have been brought to light during this scandal we know that the federal government was duplicitous in this murder; we also know that they were an accessory to the crime before the fact, and now we know they have been tampering with evidence in a federal investigation and obstructing justice.

It is beyond time for someone to bring this murderous, criminal regime to justice, bring on the special procesutor!

It would seem to me that something has to give on this scandal, sooner or later. How much longer can the Obama administration continue dodging these bullets?

I think that we are reaching the point where this scandal is about to break loose, the Obama regime cannot duck this for too much longer.

Thanks for calling for a special prosecutor, Steve. I think Issa has done a fantastic job but he’s not going to get much more out of this administration as long as Holder is standing in the way.

Issa has done a wonderful job but I think we are reaching the point where he cannot go much further with the obstruction coming from this regime. It is time to bring in a special prosecutor.

Hopefully a Special Prosecutor that can’t be bought. I know that sounded bad, but I just can’t put anything past this administration anymore.

That is why we have to appoint one before the election; this wa it will be a Republican appointed prosecutor, but if we wait until after the election and the Democrats win the House they will appoint the prosecuter–if they don’t drop the charges altogether.

How much more do we need before someone files charges? I mean how long are they going to drag this out?

So now we have audio proof the JD was involved in a coverup. How does Eric Holder still have a job?

LAS CRUCES — A U.S. Air Force sergeant stationed at Holloman Air Force Base and his wife were arrested Tuesday in connection to child abuse charges arising from their 2-month-old daughter’s death in 2007.

Peter Zayas, 27, and his wife, Sophia Zayas, 30, allegedly caused their daughter’s death by intentionally torturing and punishing the child, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque.

Both were arrested on base without incident, and were booked just after midnight Wednesday at the Do a Ana County Detention Center. They will remain in federal custody until their initial appearances at U.S. District Court in Las Cruces Thursday morning.

Both are charged with one count of child abuse resulting in death, and three counts each of child abuse and child abuse resulting in great bodily harm.

Authorities allege that the Zayas intentionally tortured and punished their child on several occasions between Aug. 16, 2007, and Oct. 22, 2007. Their actions caused great bodily harm and resulted in the child’s death, authorities allege.

The penalty for child abuse resulting in death carries a life sentence, authorities said.

The alleged abuse and torture took place at Holloman Air Force Base, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The FBI investigated the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Maria Y. Armijo and Nathan J. Lichvarcik.

How is this a cover up? Sophia is a NUT, a liar, a thief and was always a little strange. I believe she is guilty as sin and I am wondering why it took 5 years for them to arrest them if they had all of that evidence that they present now…… wow
