Gunrunner: Darrell Issa will call for a special prosecutor
Claiming that the only reason possible for Eric holder to not know about the deadly Fast and Furious operation is because he did not want to know, Darrell Issa is calling for a special prosecutor.
Here is part of what Darrell Issa had to say earlier today:
We’d like to have a true special prosecutor, particularly when it’s obvious if Eric Holder didn’t know, it’s because he didn’t want to know or because he wasn’t doing his job,” Issa said in a conference call with reporters on Tuesday. “That creates a clear pattern of we’d like to know who did know and why they didn’t brief the attorney general
Darrell Issa is right on; either Eric Holder knew about the scandal and is lying, he purposely kept himself out of the loop, or he was grossly negligent in doing his job. I happen to believe the former; Eric Holder knew about the operation and he is lying about his role.
Finally! Darrell Issa and Charles Grassley have done a remarkable job at peeling back the layers in this growing scandal but I feel as if they have done all that they can it is time to bring in a professional to get to the bottom of this story.

Yes!!! A special prosecutor is indeed needed. Holder is lying through his teeth. I’d bet good money that Obama new as well. Thanks for the good news, Steve.

An independent special prosecutor would be appropriate; however, Obama will fight this until the 2012 election is over. Holder is his Janet Reno.

I agree but it may backfire if this on through the election. Barack Obama probably wanted this to go away by that time.

I’m guessing Issa has much more info than he’s made public. If he’s calling for an sp now, that tells me that at least Holder is through.

There is no doubt in my mind that Issa hasn’t made public everything that he knows. And this is bad news for Eric Holder because from what we know he should already be gone, I can’t wait to learn all of the info that Issa has on him.

I agree, LD! The problem is when he is thrown, there is no other wall up before the president. Maybe he has not thought that far ahead, seems they act in the “here and now” and don’t worry much about what happens in the future. I don’t see AG Holder trying to save the president when his job is on the line with possible jail time. AG Holder needs to start watching his back, very closely and maybe even cooperating with Rep Issa, might save him a bit of heartache if he points the finger where it needs to be pointed . Holder is guilty, as well, but would they go easier on him IF he spills the beans? Who knows. Guess we will just have to sit back and watch it unfold, hopefully sooner rather than later. There are more scandals to start investigating. Maybe they need more than the Issa/Grassley team to do it.

I hope you are right Lou and Holder starts talking when he is facing prosecution, but maybe he will remain silent because he expects a pardon from the president if convicted.

And I can’t wait! If Hoder does end up under the bus I would bet that he is the highest level person to pay the price because he will take the hit for anyone above him.

I don’t know if he will take the hit all by himself or not. Do we even have a real man in this administration? I can’t think of one masculine person there except for one and she is a female!!!! Sorry, sometimes I say things that are best left unsaid! Let’s hope that this president is removed before he can start handing out pardons. If it were me, I would not be counting on that happening, but guess it could.
