Union rally speaker to Scott Walker: “We cut your head off”

April 19, 2012

Two days ago in Illinois at a union protest of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker T. Ray McJunkins took to the stage in front of a crowd of 2,000 and said this:

We are the Davids …and you may be a big giant, a big goliath, but David had 5 smooth stones that brought Goliath down … all he had was stones and a sling shot, and I just wonder out there among us, how many of you came with your sling today? … Load your slings up today when we leave here, putting a smooth stone of equal rights at the collective bargaining table and throw it at Goliath … And Goliath will come down, Scott Walker we send you back to Wisconsin as David did Goliath, we cut your head off and go back into town, singing a new song!

We cut your head off? Apparently some people didn’t get Barack Obama’s memo after Gabby Giffords was shot that it was time to usher in a new era of civility or his message that it was time to start using words that heal instead of words that hurt.

Clearly McJunkins was not speaking literally but this does bring an interesting example of hypocrisy to light:

Last week Ted Nugent got into hot water by stating that “we need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November.”  Obviously Ted Nugent was also not speaking literally and yet this drew a firestorm of criticism from both Democrats and the media who demanded that Mitt Romney distance himself from Uncle Ted.

Ted Nugent’s comments were seen to be so inflammatory and drew so much criticism that the Secret Service actually paid him a visit today before clearing him of any wrongdoing and announcing what most people already knew–Ted Nugent is not a threat to the president. But the damage was already done–the Secret Service was sent in to investigate a political enemy.

McJunkins’s comments were made two days ago and yet not one Democrat has come out and condemned these words, the media has ignored the story and Barack Obama has not been asked to distance himself from this violent rhetoric. And call it a hunch, but I have a funny feeling the Secret Service will not be called upon to investigate T. Ray McJunkins because he is a political ally (useful idiot) of Barack Obama whereas Ted Nugent was considered an enemy.

Of course if you leave out the fact that Ted Nugent also said that he would either be dead or in jail if Obama was elected President, it is easy to pretend he was “obviously” speaking metaphorically. It is then easier to pretend that th bruhaha was trumped up by others. And funally, it is easy to complain about their inconsistency while hopig nobody will notice your own.

Did I mention he was cleared by the Secret Service, obviously they know he was speaking figuratively.

I mean, it doesn’t follow that they know he was only speaking figuratively. It takes much more than an implied threat to warrant legal action, so the failure of the Secret Service to act could hardly be taken as evidence that Nugent was only speaking figuratively.

You’re right, since the Secret Service got busted banging hookers they obviously want harm to come to their boss so the entire thing with Nugent is a cover-up and the next time he hears himself singing “Cat Scratch Fever” on the radio he’ll turn into a killing machine and gun everybody down.

Did it ever occur to you that Ted meant Obama would come after him? You think this president isn’t making a list? This president has no fences, he was never taught a thing about human rights, all he knows is taking.

YOu know Mary, that is a great point and one that I wish I had thought of. It seems quite likely that Nugent was referring to the Obama regime coming after him in an attempt to silence a critic.

There will be no cry’s of outrage from anyone in authority or from the MSM on this incident. Actions like this are the norm and certainly not the exception and will go unnoticed. McJunkins will be given a pass by almost all and be able to continue this fire-breathing speech for as long as he wants. Frankly, thats how it should be, but this should apply to both sides in this great debate. Unfortunately that is not the case and we should continue to raise our voices until even the deaf hear us. Thanks for your post on this as this is the first I’ve heard of it.

This was the first that I had heard of it as well and I think that proves the point we are both making.

    That’s a redundent statement, Steve. 🙂

Daniel he was speaking metaphorically. However, that aside, It has been the left consistently and without a pause that have villifed the right because they have no argument. Obama has no record so what what better way to detract, through surrogates such as yourself, from the reality of his failed presidency.

Obama is not stupid, he does know what free markets mean. and also the Constitution. But neither can exist under a central socialist authority. Review Alinsky’s “Ten Rules” and you will see that this charlatin is governing by the book, Alinsky’s book.

As an aside, the middle class has no part in a socialist society other than to support the lazy, incompetent aas well as those cretins who survive by gaming the system at our expense because the progressives enable them….WM

Obama and the Democrats are going to do everything they can to make this election about anything other than Obama’s record, hence the war on women, SCOTUS, the Congress, the rich, Big Oil, and whatecer else the left can dream up.

It will be something to see the reaction if Scott Walker survives his recall. The Unions will go ballistic is my guess. They are so use to getting their way.

William McCullough@ “Daniel he was speaking metaphorically”. Probably, but that doesn’t make it right and proper. We live in a world with barbarians that DO cut off peoples heads so to even speak this hatred only reflects his lack of restraint and reason his part in this very sad state of events. America is crawling with socialists and communists, those cretins are everywhere. Who knew?.
