Is the United States secretly releasing Taliban detainees?
We have heard rumors that the Obama regime is in negotiations with the Taliban for awhile now, and if this report if true it would look as if the United States is doing more than simply negotiating with these killers. Because the Taliban fighters are so trustworthy, the Obama regime might be releasing them as a good faith gesture in the negotiations on the promise that they will behave themselves once they are free.
The “strategic release” program of high-level detainees is designed to give the US a bargaining chip in some areas of Afghanistan where international forces struggle to exercise control, the report said.
Under the risky program, the hardened fighters must promise to give up violence and are threatened with further punishment, but there is nothing to stop them resuming attacks against Afghan and American troops.
What is the worst that could happen? We know the answer to that question, and so does the Obama regime:
Everyone agrees they are guilty of what they have done and should remain in detention. Everyone agrees that these are bad guys. But the benefits outweigh the risks,” a US official told the Post
There isn’t even a question of guilt here, the government admits these people are guilty of attacks on American soldiers and the risks that this government official is talking about is the lives of American soldiers, how callous is that statement? This would be akin to the government letting guns walk into Mexico knowing lives would be lost in an attempt to…..whoops, nevermind.
This news comes just days after Dianne Feinstein admitted that the Taliban has grown stronger since Barack Obama took office, but what she failed to state is the fact that this could be due in large part to the fact that Barack Obama is releasing them on personal recognizance .

Ya know, I do NOT like Mitt Romney, in fact, I pretty much have NO use for him, but compared to the terrorists best friend, Obama, I am pretty sure he wouldn’t side WITH the ragheads!
Yeah, I said ragheads… Sue me…

No it’s not, but the MSM will do their best to make sure most Americans don’t know about it.

This program has been going on for over a year – again, where are the whistle blowers? Obama and his zombies have no clue as to what they are dealing with. He is undermining our troops because the fact of the matter is most of these clowns will be back in action asap.
Obama truly is a naive idiot, the first CIC that I can think of. next to Jimmy Carter, who has his head up his ass….WM

Is Obama a naive idiot, or is this all part of his plan?

Maybe he realizes his days are marked and as Clinton did, with financing our debt with short bonds he knew would mature in another Administration, He’s poisoning the well for the next Administration.

Or he is purposely trying to bring down the economy and make everyone dependent on the government.

Yes. The more of us who can be forced into dependence on the government for survival:food, water, fuel, housing, transportation, communication, “healthcare”, the easier we are to control.

We need to bring our troops home right. Pack it up, tell the Afghans good luck and say adios. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by staying another year. Nothing! No more dead heroes!

I agree Jim, we have done all we can over there and the ROE are so restrictive under the Obama regime that our heroes can’d do any more than they have. Bring them home!

Ah, when you say Feinstein “admitted” something, you’re implying she’s had the truth all along. The fact is, she’s voicing her opinion. You don’t admit an opinion, you express it.
As to those government officials saying these guys are guilty, you’re more than entitled to place your confidence in men when it comes to the power of determining innocence or guilt. in this country, though, we have a tradition of postponing such statements until after a court of law has found them so. It’s called due process, and it’s most emphatically NOT a privilege reserved for American citizens. Mr. Jefferson must have had just such a possibility in mind when he said “In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

She is on the Intellegence Committee and she just returned from a fact finding mission in the Middle East and has released her report. She said “what we have found is that the Taliban has grown stronger” and this seems like a statement of fact to me.
As for trying these men in a court of law, that isn’t an option anymore is it?

You see, when you have solid facts, there’s no need to embellish them – all that does is cast doubt on the facts you’re trying to present.
If this report is true, then it sounds to me like appeasement. There’s no such thing as good faith dealing with murderers and thugs, even if, from time to time, you find yourself forced to deal with them. If centuries of experience with other Europeans and North Americans, culminating in the concessions we gave Hitler and then his fellow-thug Stalin, hasn’t taught us that, the last few years dealing with the likes of Yasser “Promise them everything and give them absolutely nothing, zippo, nada, squat” Arafat and watching the unbelievable thuggery of most middle eastern states should have been a sufficient crash course.
We, as well as Europe, have screwed up pretty badly in the middle east. It’s not as if we broke something that was working well, though. Restoring even a handful of troops to an enemy force – especially when those troops are probably field-grade or even general-grade officers in that force – on the promise of good behavior . . . sorry, it’s laughable, or it would be if it weren’t so fraught with danger for my children and my neighbors’ children.
Take good care and may God bless us all!

I agree with everything you just wrote except I don’t think I embellished anything. Dianne Feinstein returned from a fact finding mission in the Middle East and that is what she found while over there.
