Gunrunner: Darrell Issa releases wiretap applications which implicate the Department of Justice in Fast and Furious-and more

  Eric Holder originally claimed that Operation Fast and Furious was a local program carried out by rogue agents in the field without the approval or the knowledge of the Department on Injustice. But then we learned that Fast and Furious was an OCDETF program which required the approval of the heads of as many as ten government agencies, and Eric Holder had to amend his story a couple of times as a result of this news. A top level person in the Department of Injustice had to approve this “rogue” action and that person was most likely Eric Holder himself.

  Lost in yesterday’s contempt hearing and the Supreme Court’s ruling on Obamacare was the fact that Darrell Issa released wiretap applications given to him by a whistleblower which prove high level Department of Injustice officials had to have known about Fast and Furious from the beginning.

The wiretap applications were signed by senior DOJ officials in the department’s criminal division, including Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jason Weinstein, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Blanco and another official who is now deceased

  Isn’t it interesting that one of the officials is now dead, but I digress…..

  These wiretap applications now prove that this couldn’t have been the actions of a rogue agent in the field, but rather that the gunwalking tactics were approved by the Department of Injustice and now many of the documents which just might prove this have been sealed by the president and you have to wonder what Barack Obama and Eric Holder knew and when did they know it? This is what the president and his beleaguered attorney general are trying to hide.

  But the Obama regime might be hiding an even bigger scandal because audio tapes between the owner of the Lone Wolf Trading Company and Hope MacAllister surfaced back in September of 2011 where they discussed the mysterious third gun which disappeared from Brian Terry’s murder scene because it may have been traced back to the FBI, thusly implicating that agency in Brian Terry’s death.

  Once Eric Holder was found to be in criminal Contempt of Congress the issue was then sent back to the Department of Injustice so for the prosecution of Eric Holder. We all knew this would go nowhere–hell the DOiJ is still supposedly conducting its own internal investigation into the scandal and nothing has come from it–and today it was made official when Eric Holder’s subordinate announced he would not file criminal charges against his boss because no crime has been committed. Shocking…..

  So where does that leave the investigation?

  After the House voted to hold Eric Holder in criminal contempt the House also voted to hold him in civil contempt (with even more Democrats voting in the affirmative) so this leaves the door open for Darrell Issa to take Eric Holder to court in one last attempt to force the Obama regime to release the now sequestered documents. And this is exactly what they intend to do.

  And while such a move doesn’t happen very often there is precedent which might work in favor of Darrell Issa, and it is a recent case: Democrats sued President Bush over documents related to the firing of several US attorney’s and they won the case. Eventually a compromise was worked out and not all of the documents were released but the Democrats did get their hands on some of the sequestered documents. That case pales in comparison to Fast and Furious–a program which led to the deaths of hundreds of people–and I think it is highly likely that the Republicans will win once it is taken to court.

  The more that Darrell Issa pushes back against Eric Holder the more the coverup grows and Eric Holder seems to be digging the hole deeper and deeper. Until last week when Barack Obama asserted executive privilege to protect Eric Holder (or himself or the FBI) Barack Obama had managed to distance himself from the scandal, but once he used the power of executive privilege he thrust himself into the heart of the scandal. Once Barack Obama joined the coverup it took this to a whole new level and it is encouraging to see that Darrell Issa isn’t going to let this investigation end until all of the deadly facts are brought to light and the American people can see exactly how dishonest the Obama regime is.

  UPDATE: Newly released documents also show the ATF was involved in a coverup before the Oversight Committee even began questioning the deadly operation; issuing talking points on how to “answer” questions about Brian Terry’s death and threatening  retaliation against possible whistleblowers, promising to “take them down.”
