Did a United States general delay an investigation into an Afghan hospital until after the 2010 election to protect Barack Obama?

July 25, 2012

Did a United States general, William Caldwell, delay an investigation into an Afghanistan hospital which is funded with United States taxpayer dollars and was called ‘Auschitz-like’ because he was afraid it would hurt Barack Obama politically before the 2010 midterm election? It seems outrageous, but just watch the video of a CNN (of all places) report that I found at The Right Scoop before you rule out the possibility:

Those are some serious charges being thrown out there by an officer still serving in the United States military, here is the main part of his testimony:

His first response to me was how could we make this [investigation] request with elections coming? And then he made the really shocking comment that “he call’s me Bill

This leads to many questions, the first being; is he telling the truth? It is possible that this general has a personal vendetta against General William Caldwell and thought this would be a chance to exact revenge for some past transgression, but knowing the seriousness of lying to the Congress (unless you are either Eric Holder or Janet Napolitano) and the punishment that could be handed down I find it highly unlikely he was not telling the truth as he understood it. It is possible he misconstrued General William Caldwell’s remarks, but it does seem as if the general was concerned about the political ramifications if the news of this abuse was leaked before the election. It seems to me based on what little we know at this point that General William Caldwell did put politics ahead of doing what was right.

So, if this is true why did he do it? The “he calls me Bill” statement does seem to allude to some type of relationship between Caldwell and Obama but on its own doesn’t necessarily mean WIlliam Caldwell delayed the investigation to protect Barack Obama. It could mean that he and the president are close and he thought if news of this scandal broke he would let down the president, and we all know how it feels when we are afraid we are letting down a friend.

But then there is his apparent concern about the upcoming elections to consider and what possible motive could he have for purposely delaying the investigation until after the election if it wasn’t to protect Barack Obama? And if it turns out he was protecting Barack Obama the next question is, was he doing it on his own to protect a friend or was he facing pressure from somebody in the White House or within the regime to delay the investigation?

All of these questions remain unanswered at this point but they need to be answered. We need to know who knew what and we need to know when they knew it.

the whole thing stinks to high heavens and the scandals just keep increasing. I hope the armor in the democratic party is beginning to crack because you can’t fool ALL the people ALL the time…but obama is really trying to beat all odds.

There are quite a few questions here and I think it stinks as well. THere may be some Deomcrats who begin to crack but most of them will rally around Obama by claiming this is yet another witch hunt.

It keeps getting worse as the days go by. Thank goodness for the tea party and 2010 or we would know very little of what is really going on. Great post.

Thank you. We may get frustrated at how slowly the investigation into Fast and Furious is going, and we may be upset that the Tea Party hasn’t quite lived up to expectations but we must remember this all would have been swept under the rug if it weren’t for the Tea Party.

More proof that nation building is not our area of expertize. It especially doesn0t work in a rat infested cesspool like Afghanistan. I have a feeling that our military todat is far too politixized.

I think it is time to bring all our heroes home, they have done all they could over there but at this point in time it seems as if there is nothing more we can do.

The whole thing stinks to high Heaven…What would this story be if GWB was still in office? I don’t think that he would have let this degrade in such a manner? Bring our heroes home and let them fight another day! We will not part our part of the world, until the hearts and minds have changed…

THis wouls be all over the news every hour and on every channel if this were Bush, but we are talking about something that happened under Obama’s watch, so it is “move along, nothing to see here.”
