Open thread for Wednesday August 15th: United States of Eurasia edition

Here is the open thread for today, it looks like it might be an eventful day as I already have three stories I would like to get to tonight: What have the New Black Panthers been up to since Eric Holder refused to press charges, Mitt Romney’s response to Joe Biden’s racist comment, and the DREAM Act has been expanded. No guarantee I will get to all of this tonight, especially if anything else pops up today, but I will try.
As always, links and discussion are both welcomed here on any topic. I have decided to give you another video by the band Muse, this one is a 1984 themed song entitled “United States of Eurasia” as performed live on Later with Jools Holland in 2009. Enjoy.

I was on the road all day today, had talk radio on and they sure were talking about Joe Biden! The problem is, if it was a national radio, he didn’t mean anything about what he said. I am glad to hear that Romney/Ryan are not going to let him say what he is saying and not respond. The media as usual just want to write it off as Joe being Joe, but there comes a time when he needs to take some responsibility for what comes out of his mouth. We know how Obama without a teleprompter responds on his own and Biden is just plain unprofessional.
Then I was hearing that in Chicago there were 10,000 people lined up on Navy Pier to sign up for the Dream act benefits. They interviewed a few and they were SO glad now they didn’t have to hide. We are in serious trouble with what they said was 1.7 million new people coming into the workforce,,,now if they admit to that amount, you can figure it is double that. Our country can’t handle that influx of job seekers.

That happened to Harrison the other day was well. Joe has so many gaffes that people downplay them but you are right, sooner or later he has to take responsibility for what he says because he is in a high office and he needs to be more thoughtful with what he says.
