Open thread for Thursday August 16th
August 16, 2012
No theme today, just a place to leave links to interesting articles and have a discussion. Yesterday’s open thread was slow, let’s see if it picks back up today.
On a side note, when I find interesting articles during the day I usually Tweet them, many times these articles are not something I am going to write about at night so this is another way to spread information. My five latest Tweets can be found over on the right hand side of the blog and usually they contain links to articles, although they do not always, as well as links to other blog posts that I think others would enjoy reading. Check these articles out if you get a chance.
Have a great day everyone!

Goodmorning! I am in a different area of the country this morning, Arkansas, watching the grandson. I have come to the conclusion that this is a far more laid back area and have alot more polite people than Central Illinois. When I stopped for gas,it doesn’t matter where you live, it is effecting everyone’s lifestyle and they do know what is going on. This area of the country is more “right leaning” than Illinois or Wisconsin and of course my personal favorite is that they can conceal carry, which we can’t do. Althought they are concerned with the lack of rain, they are a bit more concerned with what will happen with prices going up and even though the gas is cheaper here by about 40=50 cents a gallon, it is still too high for them. I would like to ask the other posters, if they are paying $4.00 a gallon like we are in Central Illinos and how that is effecting their budgets. I read that we are the highest in the country and it makes budgeting pretty hard when it goes up 30 cents overnight. They, whoever they are say it is because of a refinery fire in California.

It it truly amazing how different the culture is when you travel to different places in this country. This is of course the reason why the founders wanted the states to have more power than the federal government; because issues affect different states differently and local government is more in tune with the people.

That’s about 20 cents lower than New England.

PC has seeped into the New Black Panthers threatening rhetoric. We can be sure that rather than skinning white people it would expedite things if they would settle for scalping us. But then the red man’s sensitivities may be awoken and thereby threatening their support for the native americans’ savior and best friend, Barack Heepbigliar Obama. Wampum talks.
What’s the cost per gallon on the reservation?

Why would this be so crazy doing this? Don’t the people with jobs have to take random tests at work? I think that if you have to do it to earn the money, they can darn sure take a test to get money that worker put into the system. I am with you on this one.

Seems like a great idea to me.

I hope it passes, if you are going to accept government money it should come with some strings attached so that we know you aren’t abusing it.

It has occurred to me that Jay Carney is the Obama’s version of “Baghdad Bob”. I am waiting to see the tanks driving by in background.

Maybe they thought with his youthful, little boy looks that we just could not get upset with him when he avoids questions! I don’t trust him anymore than I did Robert Gibbs….to have Tony Snow back, there was a man of integrity…this administration might look up the definition of that word and start acting like they should.

Yeah he is! That is a great analogy.

Sorry to say we lost Tony Snow to cancer. He was never rude to any of the media that asked him questions. He also answered the questions unlike this bunch that avoid or ignore them.

Is anyone else seeing the blogs having to do with a meeting with Biden/Clinton and the President this morning? There is speculation that Clinton maybe taking over as VP. I am not sure what to make of it.

I saw that as well, but it sounds like he is sticking with Biden. At least I hope so.

I am not sure if that is good or bad.

I think it is good, Hillary and Obama together would electrify the base while Biden provides fodder for the right.

I think there are alot of liberals that wanted Hillary last time and when Obama got in they refused to vote for him and switched to vote Republican. I think she would votes away if she was on the ticket…so probably good she is not..or at least as of now she is saying no, but things could change.
LikeLike
It is possible that she could take votes away from him, but I think she is still upset with him because he played the race card against the Clinton’s in 2008 and she didn’t want to do anything that might help him this time around.

The last link is an hour long radio show that’s quite informative. Modified “Red Dawn” ? None of this should be any surprise to anyone with their eyes open. We are witnessing the most criminal takeover of our republic by the most brazen, offensive criminals in history. Multiple gov agencies, including the National Weather Service and the Social Security Administration (???!!!) have purchased upwards of 1.4 billion, (yes, BILLION) rounds of hollow point ammo in various calibers, since March. I highly recommend listening to the last link.

I know they have to have security people at all the agencies, but haven’t they gone a bit overboard with the purchases they are making. I also can not believe that people would believe their stories as to WHY they need it, but there are alot of suckers out there. We are aware there is a take over in progress, is it that hard to see it?

I just read a FOX news report about this that made me sick. They are backing the government’s claim that all this HP ammo is for training. TRAINING! I, for one, am sick of the MSM treating us like dummies. Frangible and FMJ ammo is for training, HP ammo is for killing. They depend on people’s ignorance to push their agenda. They’re trying really hard to make this sound innocent.

It may be for training, but training for what? That is the question.

It’s in the bible, russia will attack us, it was prophecied ages ago but if you read the back of the bible. WE WIN YAAAAAA! Too many people don’t believe there is a GOD and he’s going to LET THEM HAVE IT THAT DECEIVE HIS LITTLE ONES! But before Jesus comes back, satan is going to come forward first and CLAIM he’s JESUS and give us whatever we want to worship him.Peacefully and prosperously.
