MSNBC host claims it is “offensive” that Paul Ryan said our rights come from God

August 30, 2012

I am not going to waste much of my time or energy on this post but it is worth mentioning. The last time we saw MSNBC host Touré in the news was when he accused Mitt Romney of  ‘niggerizing’ Barack Obama when the presidential hopeful  called on Barack Obama to take his campaign of hate back to Chicago. (Not to get sidetracked here, but now Chris Mathews is claiming that simply using the word ‘Chicago’ is a racial slur.) Touré eventually apologized for using the ‘N’ word but not for calling Mitt Romney a racist.

Now Touré is at it again, calling it offensive that Paul Ryan said our rights come from God and nature during his acceptance speech last night. The video can be seen here if you would like to watch it, but this is what he said:

[Paul Ryan] loves this line of ‘our rights come from God and nature’, which is so offensive to so much of America. Because for black people, hispanic people and women, our rights do not come from God or nature. They were not recognized by the natural order of America. They come from the government and from legislation that happens in relatively recent history in America. So that line just bothers me to my core.

Because America once tolerated slavery it means that our rights do not come from God, but rather from government and to think otherwise is offensive. I guess that means we can add the words ‘God’ and ‘nature’ to the words we are no longer permitted to use.

So they are offended that our side says our rights come from God. Well surprise, surprise, what else would they say. We’re lucky they didn’t ask the ACLU to sue someone even though its free speech.

I expect and we’ve seen every possible bit of b.s. thrown out so their side has something to chew on. None of it will stick with those who have brains that work. Take note, its not our side that’s converting to the Democratic party, its their side that’s coming our way. The more they shovel sh_t the more those who are still able to think will change parties or at the very least vote for the Republican ticket.

It is all they have left at this point, but the more lame examples of faux racism they throw out there the dumber they look and the sad thing is that they are making a mockery of a serious issue so that when real instances of racism are brought to light people are going to tune it out.

Afraid of being branded racists we no longer drunk chocolate milk in our home…oops, I meant to day house since home may be misconstrued as an abbreviated form if “homey”

. Bosco man Toure’ better be careful wishing for his rights to be gov’t given because when the white men take over they may take away his once once God given rights. Then he may pray to God with Jesse, Al and Rev Wright to get them back. But then horses asses don’t deserve rights do they?

This is so stupid! Things have gotten out of hand, is everything that we say taken wrong by someone and it offends them? If so, tough!!!!! I don’t care, I will say and do as I wish, they can develop thicker skin.

It really wasn’t taken the wrong way, it was deliberately twisted around to promote this man’s racial agenda.

You’re right Steve, none of the acrimonious remarks spewed by these racists is a result of misunderstanding but rather the end result of non ending fishing trips for any isolated word that can be twisted to satisfy their hate filled lust for anyone or anything they perceive as a threat to their perverse visions.

Exactly, at this point they are looking for anything they can find to paint the Republicans as racist but they can’t find any real instances of racism so they are making it up now.

It was an hosest admission by Toure that he believes the government plays, or should play, a central role in everyone’s life. He really does believe the government is at the heart of all that is good in the world.

Wow…He is a shining example of our failing educational system. Perhaps he should have taken the time to read some John Locke before he opened his pie hole and removed all doubt. This is one ignorant fool in regards to the mindset our founders were in when they embraced this concept. A government that can create rights, can also take them away; however if you are born with these rights government can never take them away. What’s offensive is this buffoon is allowed to spew this nonsense across the airways unchallenged.

Well said John and somehow I don’t think it would change his mind if he read any of the founding documents. He would simply say they were written by rich, white, slaveholding men.
It almost sounded like he had never heard anyone say that our rights come from God before, didn’t it? If that is true he is truly ignorant of what America was founded on.

How ignorant can one person be? Maybe someone needs to rewrite Webster’s Dictionary and remove all the words the liberals believe are offensive. At least the book would be easier to carry around, even if our free speech rights are infringed.

These people are complete idiots, the way they take offense at every little word.

The number of changes I could ring on this is staggering. I’ll content myself with a bouquet.

As Ann Coulter has noted, politics functions as a substitute for religion among liberals, and they can’t stand competition.

As Thomas Sowell has noted, the heart of contemporary American liberalism is liberals’ presumption that they are morally and intellectually superior to non-liberals — and by such a degree that they need not sully themselves by stooping to consider, much less refute, their adversaries’ arguments.

And as some wag whose name I’ve misplaced has noted, the pinnacle of that presumption of superior morality and wisdom is Barack Hussein Obama, who becomes instantly and severely offended by the slightest suggestion of criticism or divergent opinion. That wag went on to say that he doubted that Obama is a Muslim…or a Christian…or an adherent to any faith that recognizes God, because that would constitute an admission that there is a Being superior to him!

All the Leftists ever do is tell every body else what to do and to tell you what you are doing wrong in their evil eyes. It is time to stop responding to any of the evil garbage that comes out of the mouths of these scumbags, and focus our time on Taking America Back by Electing Folks who Love the USA, God and Constitution. No more Playing Defense. It is time for Full Fledged Onslaught of Offense against these evil scumbags in the Media and the Politicians as well, and particularly toward Obama and his regime of thugs, criminals, perverts and subversives. They only appeal to the most base ignorant Americans who do not care what they say as long as They Keep Getting Their Freebies.

Sometimes I wonder IF they are really that offended, or it is just something that they can fire back on and hope that WE will be politically correct and say how sorry we are and back off! Then again, maybe they are easily offended and if that is the case, they need to get out of politics and into a field where they don’t have contact with people, so as to NOT be so upset. This is really stupid, but it will work for some people, at least they are hoping it will.

If our rights come from God, how come hardly anyone except the wealthy had them when our ancestors rebelled against England?

At any rate – they may very well come from God, but they’re guaranteed by the Constitution.

Take good care and may God bless us all!

You are right, while our rights come from God it is the job of the government to protect those right and admittedly there have been many times when the government has failed. Our history on this issue is very interesting and I know that you know your history. So you know the lengths that many of our founders went to to eliminate slavery at the founding, including Thomas Jefferson who tried several times to abolish it at both the federal level and at the state level in Virginia.
I actually do understand the point he was trying to make but by giving the government the power to create rights it gives them the power to take them away so Toure would do well to be careful of what he wishes for.
