Marines at the US embassy in Egypt are not allowed to have live ammo
We have already learned that the embassy in Libya where four Americans were murdered was left unprotected even though there was a previous threat of violence, now we are learning that the Marines stationed at the embassies in Egypt are forbidden to carry live ammo thereby making it impossible for them to protect the embassy in the event of a coordinated attack such as the one that just happened in Libya.
Apparently, if true, this order came from Anne Patterson and it is a stunning dereliction of duty in my humble opinion. It appears we have learned nothing from the terrorist attack workplace violence incident at Fort Hood–where soldiers were not allowed to carry weapons–or from Fast and Furious–where Brian Terry was sent into an ambush armed with only a beanbag gun.
I suppose with the Department of Homeland Security, the National Weather Service, and the Social Security Administration combined buying billions of rounds of hollow point bullets in preparation from some incident which might occur at home there simply wasn’t enough left to give to our Marines to protect our diplomats when they travel abroad.

This is so easy to figure out. Hillary and Barack feel that if the Embassy is overrun some trigger happy Marine would shoot one of those poor misguided muslims. To them, that would be the worst possible outcome. Get the picture, that will be flashed around the world, heavily armed blood thirsty soldier shoots unarmed demonstrator just exercising his rights as a citizen of the new Islamic Republic of Egypt. Doesn’t take a genius to understand the reasoning behind this call. Just had to toss in some humor to what is a disgusting situation!

My God, how stupid can we get? Someone needs to explain to me what good a gun is without bullets to shoot. I suppose it can be used as a club, but to protect someone, it is basically useless. Why not just send them out with pea shooters or fly swatters? Good grief, this is ignorant.

Isn’t that what our government is trying to do here at home? If they take away the ability to have ammo, there is no need to take our guns from us. There is a method to their madness. So, let’s take it one step further, “Guns don’t kill people, ammo kill people”. Like the lightbulb, that horrible thing, make us have to buy the CFLs. So, with ammo, I bet they get it down to only 22’s, I know that will still hurt someone and a good shot will kill them, but it will surely limit our ability for protection. I think they will phase out certain ammo over time. They have a PLAN! It is not a good thing for us.

FYI this has since been corrected and was not the case… however in Libya the State Dept. knew there were security concerns, there was an IED attack in June, and they were in insecure facilities.
Too bad it wasn’t built on a golf course or Obama would have known about it.
Apparently in Libya they had 48 hours’ warning, too.
