Intelligence office tries to take the fall for Barack Obama’s lie about the attack on the US consulate in Libya

September 28, 2012

Today the Intelligence Department made a gallant effort at absolving Barack Obama from any guilt in continually lying about the terrorist attack on the United States consulate in Libya on the anniversary of September 11th.

Extremists from groups linked to al Qaida struck the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in a “deliberate and organized terrorist attack,” the top U.S. intelligence agency said Friday, as it took responsibility for the Obama administration’s initial claims that the deadly assault grew from a spontaneous protest against an anti-Islam video.

The unusual statement from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence appeared to have two goals: updating the public on the latest findings of the investigation into the assault, and shielding the White House from a political backlash over its original accounts.

“In the immediate aftermath (of the assault), there was information that led us to assess that the attack began spontaneously following protests earlier that day at our embassy in Cairo,” spokesman Sean Turner said in the statement. “We provided that initial assessment to executive branch officials and members of Congress, who used that information to discuss the attack publicly.”

Okay, for the sake of this post we’ll give the agency the benefit of the doubt and concede the point that this agency provided Barack Obama with the false narrative he continues to push to this day.

The agency admits it was responsible for the Obama regime’s initial claim that the attack was a spontaneous reaction to a You Tube video, but we know that the regime had credible information within 24 hours that this attack was a planned terrorist attack yet Barack Obama continued to go with the agency’s initial report even after it was known the report was not accurate. He had two conflicting reports; one was the initial report and the other was the revised report but he decided he liked the initial report better because he felt it made him look better.

When Barack Obama addressed the United Nations two weeks after the attack he had a clear choice to make: he could either stick with the initial, inaccurate report or he could stand in front of the world and condemn the terrorist attack on the United States. He chose the former knowing full well it was not accurate and decided to blame an American for the attack.

The Intelligence office can take the blame for providing Barack Obama with false information but they cannot take the blame for his decision to keep using the report after he–and everyone else–knew the report was wrong. The blame for this decision falls solely on the shoulders of Barack Obama.

The Leader From Behind sure has some loyal employees, doesn’t he. But, you called it right. Obama chose his poison and he is sticking with it. There are still a lot of other questions to be answered; like why did our people not have proper protection?

He sure does have loyal people under him, or perhaps they are afraid of what will happen to them if they don’t go along. There still are may questions that need to be answered and I hope that the Congress will investigate this fully.

Don’t hold your breath about Congress doing anything. I am sure they have their marching orders as well. Someone will take the fall for it and that someone will have a job for life and benefits to fit. There always has to be someone waiting in the background to take the hit when Obama messes up and mess up he will. He is not smart enough to do planning ahead, I just think he acts first and covers up later. I know alot of people thing this administration are a bunch of PROS at what they do, but I am beginning to believe they are Amateurs, at best, and a bunch of screw-ups, as well. That we put up with them is our downfall and our stupidity if we don’t take them out of there.

It seems as if there are a lot of people in this administration who are willing to fall on their own swords, just to protect Obama.

The reason they are falling ON those swords is in an attempt to protect Obama from further looking like a fool… A valiant effort, but one that IS a failure…
