Happy Thanksgiving everybody
November 22, 2012
Just wanted to take a few minutes this morning to wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all spend your day with family and loved ones and have a great day. Please remember those who are away from home serving our country, and the families they have left behind, who will not be able to spend this day together. It is because of them that we can.

Same back at you and to all my “friends” here on your blog! We are busy getting the food cooked, forgot what it was like with a 2 year old under foot, but feels good! The house is scattered with toys and other little boy “stuff”. We are having a “Turducken” that is andouille sausage stuffed inside a big chicken breast, inside a duck breast, inside a turkey breast….the desserts are being made bymy sons inlaws, so we will be full. Right now we are watching “Cars II” that has preceeded by “Cars I”, what better way to watch the big screen, right? It is a cool, windy day, so just about right for Thanksgiving Day. Yes, we need to be thankful for all the troops that will not be able to have dinner at their own table this year, hopefully next year they will be home.

I have never had a Turducken but I know people who have and they rave about it, someday I will have to try it. Sounds like you are having a great day, enjoy.
I notice you have a gravatar now, I like it, I expect a blog to follow shortly! 🙂

Haha, no it is hard enough keeping up with the blogs I read! And, yes we had a really great Thanksgiving, I forgot how messed up a house can get with a 2 years old around, but now ask if I cared? The Turducken was pretty good, doesn’t put off much fat for the juices for gravy and stuffing, however. The Gravatar, is my son and his newborn holding wrenches,,,thought it would make a good fathers day card picture…my son is an Engineer and guess he wanted his boy to get an early start with tools, who knows.

Could it be some wine, as well? We have gone thru 3 bottles, just cooking(along with some cheese and crackers), of course we will have some WITH the meal…imagine the recliners and couch will look good AFTER the cleanup.

Beer for me, as usual, with a couple of Margaritas mixed in. With the Pats game on tonight I will probably have a couple more beers and then fall asleep.
