Democrat Senator employed an illegal alien sex offender, DHS delayed arrest until after the election
Earlier today a former intern who worked for Democrat Senator Robert Menendez was arrested for being in the United States illegally; the intern, Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta, has the added bonus of being a registered sex offender.
Senator Menendez claims that he didn’t know Mister Zavaleta was in the country illegally and claims he fired Zavaleta once he found out.
We certainly wouldn’t have known through any background checks since he is a minor about any sex o ffender status,” Menendez said in an interview Wednesday with MSNBC. “Once it came to our attention, our New Jersey staff director let the young man go.
I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a free pass on this but then I remember what happened to a California Republican, Meg Whitman, when she was running for governor of the state against Jerry Brown in 2010 when it was learned she had an illegal alien housekeeper.
Meg Whitman also claimed that she let Nicky Diaz Santillan go once she found out about her housekeeper’s immigration status but what did she get for employing an illegal alien? She did not get the benefit of the doubt, instead she got pilloried by the Democrats because it was shortly before the election, while Nicky Diaz Santillan got free legal representation from frequent White House visitor Gloria Allred to help insure that Meg Whitman would lose the election.
It became an election issue, so if Senator Menendez found out about his intern’s immigration status before the election and let him go as he has claimed why wasn’t this also an election issue?
The AP is reporting that a US official has told them that the Department of Homeland Security ordered ICE not to arrest Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta until after the election. The Department of Homeland Security is denying this claim but we have seen the way the Obama regime operates so I do not doubt for a second that this claim is true.
And anyway, we must remember the lesson Harry Reid taught us when he threw baseless claims out there about Mitt Romney; Harry Reid taught us that people are now considered guilty until proven innocent and the burden of proof no longer lies with the accuser but rather with the accused, so it is up to the Department of Homeland Security to prove the accusations are untrue. Until that time I will assume the Department of Homeland Security did in fact move to hide this story until after the election and the reason for this decision is twofold.
First; the Obama regime knew the balance of the Senate was up for grabs and didn’t want any scandal to break before the election which could cost the Democrats a seat and second: Barack Obama has been loosening immigration laws to win votes with immigrants while running on the campaign promise of passing comprehensive immigration reform (IE amnesty) and the last thing Barack Obama needed before the election was to deport a high profile illegal alien because he would run the risk of losing the voters he had been working so hard to secure.
This is a perfect example of the way this criminal regime does business and the icing on the cake is now Robert Menendez is claiming his discrepancy is proof that we need comprehensive immigration reform.

It’s OK, he’s a Dem, he can DO that… 😦

Yep, the ole double standard at play here!

I wonder if there really is a different set of rules and laws written somewhere that apply only to Democrats? I t sure seems like it sometimes. Harry Reid probably has the only copy.

And he makes it up as he goes along!

Harry Reid IS the law. When he is for something, and has the votes to pass it, it comes up for an actual vote. Otherwise, it does NOT come up for a vote.

That pretty much sums it up. How many jobs bills the the House pass which Reid is still sitting on?

Denocrats play the same ball game as we do but we get one strike and we’re out they get five strikes and they’re still in. Same game diffrent rules? Does it make sense to you? It does to them.

They certainly do not play by the same rules, there is no doubt about that. All I want them to do is hold themselves to the same standards they hold other to, is that too much to ask? Apparently so.
