Former Special Forces Commander claims the United States may have been running guns through Benghazi into Syria
One of the questions which has yet to be answered about the Benghazi terrorist attack and the ensuing cover-up is what exactly was the Obama regime trying to hide? The Obama regime first floated the lie about the attack growing out of a protest over a You Tube video while the attack was still ongoing and continued to lie about it for weeks after it was known to be a falsehood. It seems odd that the regime had an excuse ready to go while the attack was still in progress, and it seemed equally odd that the regime would continue to lie in front of the United Nations after the truth was learned.
But why?
One of the rumors which has been floating around the blogosphere is the possibility that the Obama regime was running guns captured in Libya after the fall of Qaddafi into Syria through Benghazi to support the rebellion and this is what the regime would rather the American people not find out about for obvious reasons.
And now Gen. William Boykin has said that this is not beyond the realm of possibility, and he has a little bit of cache:
the former commander of the U.S. Special Forces Command, the former deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence and who, in the 1990s, worked with the CIA
Here is what he had to say:
he believes it is a reasonable supposition that the U.S. was supporting or planning to support the Syrian rebels via Benghazi, Libya
The CIA is naturally denying this claim, to which the general asks:
Boykin believes that such an action, or planned action, would help explain why Amb. Chris Stevens was in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, visiting that city for the first time since he had departed from it in November 2011 after having served there as a special envoy to the Libyan rebels who overthrew the Qaddafi regime.
“Then what was Stevens doing there on September 11 of 2012?” Boykin said in an interview with CNSNews.com. “More supposition was that he was now funneling guns to the rebel forces in Syria, using essentially the Turks to facilitate that. Was that occurring, (a), and if so, was it a legal covert action?
This is something which needs to be investigated: Barack Obama has involved the United States in Libya and Egypt during the Arab Spring, has sent combat troops into central Africa, is sending F-16s to Egypt and is now getting involved in Mali so is it really beyond the realm of possibility that the United States was secretly supporting the Syrian rebels?
I don’t think so, after all, Barack Obama and Eric Holder do have a history of running guns to undesirables as we found out when the Fast and Furious debacle came to light. The only thing we know for sure is that the Obama regime is hiding something (in addition to the survivors of the attack) and they have been all along.
oh but I thought the Syrian Rebels were freedom fighters…there is a huge coverup of who these people are, we have a government that is deliberately arming the very savages that have been killing our soldiers for the last 10 years…
scary that we cant expect anything to come of it

In my head I know nothing will come of this but in my heart I am still hoping we will get to the bottom of this.

There was no diplomatic mision in Benghazi. Beghazi was a CIA operation. The Embassy in Tripoli ask for increased for security for embassy in Tripoli and never got iy. No one from Beghazi ever asked for more security. They needed to keep a low profile while working wiith the variousl rebel groups, including al Qaeda. Unless a whistle blower comes forward, we will never here the truth from our government. Someone who recently retired from the US Foreign Service told me that the CIA warned Obama about what would happpen if er helped take out Gadaffi. So, in part, the CIA was cleaning up Obama’s mess and saw a way to kill two birds while they were at it.
The players play and the payers pay. That is the way of the world, my friend..

That has been my opinion, as well. However, with Hillary testifying tomorrow, surely we will know the truth?????

I wouldn’t count on that! 🙂 The cover up will continue.

Don’t be holding your breath for that to happen.

I agree Jim and the fact that Obama refused to send in help leads me to believe Stevens was a sacrifice once things went bad.

Sadly, we will probably never know what really transpired in Benghazi. The powers that be have no intention of allowing that information to become public knowledge.

You are probably right, and if we ever do find out what happened it will be long after Barack Obama has left power.

Is it just us who notices who Obama wants to have guns and those he wants to take them away from? Islamic extremists and drug cartels are okay, but rank and file Americans just can’t be trusted.

It really is scary isn’t it, but what is even more scary is the fact that most people don’t even seem to notice what is going on around them.

Perhaps you should create fliers stating what is going on then drop the fliers out of an airplane! I’m being serious!
