Some gun companies are refusing to sell to the Federal government

February 24, 2013

The Department of Homeland Security, the IRS, NOAH, and various other government agencies have been buying billions of rounds of ammunition as well as thousands of the same type of assault weapons which they are trying to ban ownership of in the private sector.

This is being done for one of two reasons: One; the Federal government is preparing for the insurrection they feel is coming after Barack Obama achieves his goal of crashing the economy, or two; despite the propaganda campaign being waged by the government and the media they realize that in the end they will not be able to pass gun control legislation so they are attempting to achieve the next best thing. The government could be trying to dry up the ammunition supply be purchasing as many rounds as possible, thereby creating a shortage and driving up the price making it impossible for the American people to by ammunition for the guns they own.

It now appears as if some firearms companies are fighting back in an attempt to foil this nefarious plot, several gun companies are refusing to sell weapons to the Federal government.

A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

This is what Extreme Firepower Inc had to say about this policy:

The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms…If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction

Extreme Firepower Inc is not alone, 33 other companies have joined them as well. Here is the complete list.

Good for them. At the same time, i fear some of these companies will go the way of Gibson guitar, raided and shut down on some trumped up charge. After all, didn’t one of Obama’s handlers promise reprisals against those who were not on board during the election?

You are right about that, these companies will be attacked by the Obama regime and an attempt will be made to shut them down and still they are sticking to their gun. (pun intended) And you have to admire them for that.

It’s a brave thing they are doing, but I agree with rjjrdq. The federal government will crush them. The feds can always import arms and ammo and sell them to the cities and states. In my opinion, the Second Amendment will be tattered, but it will survive this battle. The next battle, however, will be worse when ever they see the time is ripe.

I agree, but I think this is running into more opposition than they thought it would and I hope that this bill backfire on them in the end.

Agreed! I don’t think the Dems thought there would be this much resistance to this but they are learning.

Aren’t most gun manufactures in the Northeastern part of the country? I know this was the case some years back. I also have read about the boycott that some gun makers have imposed on the federals and also on certain state police agencies. I doubt this effort will have any effect other than the symbolism of standing up to big brother, but it is certainly an effort that should be applauded. I can’t see congress passing any meaningful anti-gun laws at this time, but I do have concerns that something like the so-called gun show loop hole may be closed. In the long run a measure like this will give the feds a list of most all gun owners and that is not good, because such list have been used in other countries to confiscate weapons. I do worry, however, that the Obama administration is not ready to give up on this fight and will use executive actions to advance their goals.

I know there are manufacturer in the North East but I don’t know how many or if it is a majority of manufacturers. I am with you right now, I don’t think we are going to see any real legislation. I thought they would be able to push something through the Congress but it now looks like they won’t be able to.

That is probably what they will go after next if the ammo buys don’t work and no real gun control legislation is passed.

It will be the lead they will go after. EPA will rise to the occasion. They tried it a year or so ago. Tried to ban lead sinkers. A trial ballon.

You are right on about that Bunker! The environmentalists already basically shut down the gun club in Haverhill Massachusetts and this is going to be one way they attack us on a national level in the near future.

Once the feds formulate their plan to shutdown and eventually bankrupt the guns and ammo manufacturers the Chicoms can swoop in and buy the plants, disassemble them and move those factories to China. Next comes the legislation or executive order banning the purchase of guns and ammunition from overseas by private citizens or corporations. The federal gov’t can then buy up the output (discretionary spending) and choose to whom it may sell to. This will put a dent in the coming rebellion. A fairy tale, maybe, maybe not.
