Barack Obama blames sequestration for vaccine cuts, but he proposed the cuts a year ago

 In his continuing attempt to make the sequestration appear as painful as possible the Obama regime is blaming the automatic spending cuts for the reduction in the availability  of vaccinations to children. 

The Obama administration claims that because of the $44 billion in across-the-board spending cuts (sequestration) this year, tens of thousands of American children will not be vaccinated.

  That sounds bad, doesn’t it? After all, who wants to see thousands of children denied vaccinations? But as always, things are not quite what they seem when it comes to Barack Obama.

   Over one year ago Barack Obama himself proposed cutting this very same vaccination program in his budget, and his proposal included a deeper cut than the cuts he is now blaming on the sequestration.

Known as Section 317, the immunization program provides vaccines to states for children who might not otherwise get them. In his 2013 budget, President Obama proposed cutting the 317 program by nearly $60 million

  Why was he willing to cut funding to this program? Because at the time of his budget proposal Barack Obama made the claim that Obamacare would see to it that children would receive the vaccinations the program once provided. 

Health reform expansion will further increase access to immunizations and decrease the number of uninsured and underinsured individuals served by the Section 317 Program, resulting in cost savings

  What once could be absorbed by Obamacare while saving money at the same time is now a devastating cut which could lead to children becoming ill, what a difference a year makes.

  So there are only two logical conclusions we can come to here: First, Obamacare has failed to deliver on Barack Obama’s promise to cover childhood vaccinations, or two; Barack Obama sees an opportunity to get the cuts he wanted all along while blaming the Republicans for the cuts at the same time.

  Or both.

  Barack Obama gets the best of both worlds here; he gets the program cut that he wanted cut and he gets to blame the Republicans for cutting it. And this isn’t the first time he has tried to blame the sequester for his own policies issues; Barack Obama’s Education Secretary was already caught lying about teacher layoffs due to the sequester when in fact cuts made by Barack Obama is what led to the layoffs.

  And then of course Barack Obama was caught lying about Capitol janitorial pay cuts so he does have a history here which cannot be ignored. Barack Obama is trying to spin the sequester cuts to his advantage by using the sequester to hide the failure of his own policies by placing the blame on the Congress. And he isn’t above lying to do it…..
