Steve Harvey claims Hollywood is more racist than the American people

  How many times have we had to endure the Hollywood elite chiming in on politics as if they were the enlightened ones who should be driving public policy while we are merely plebeians who should cling on their every word as if we should care about what they think?

  There are countless examples; from Sean Penn and Michael Moore telling us we should be more like Cuba and Venezuela because these countries truly care about the people to Janeane Garolalo libeling everyone in the Tea Party as racists, the list goes on and on.

  While flying in private jets they tell us we need to change our behavior to save the planet from global warming, they ridicule Christians for opposing gay marriage claiming they are still in the dark ages. While surrounded by armed bodyguards they condemn the second amendment. While eating caviar and attiring themselves in  thousand dollar outfits they tell us we must pay higher taxes for the greater good. I could go on but you get the point, they want us to live by one set of rules while they live by another.

  So imagine my surprise when one of their own–Steve Harvey–made the claim that Hollywood is actually more racist than the American people. Here is what he had to say on this issue:

Hollywood is still very racist,” he says. “Hollywood is more racist than America is. They put things on TV that they think the masses will like. Well, the masses have changed. The election of President Obama should prove that. And television should look entirely different. [Scandal star] Kerry Washington should not be the first African-American female to head up a drama series in 40 years. In 40 years! That’s crazy.”

  Did you notice he said “very racist” and not just somewhat racist? Hollywood likes to think their shit doesn’t stink, they feel as if they are better than us and above everyone else, but here we have a black man in Hollywood actually saying they are not only not better than us but are in fact worse than we are.

  And I happen to think he is right; they expose their hypocrisy all the time and all you have to do is compare their actions to their words and you will come to the same conclusion. I am sick and tired of listening to these hypocritical elitists bash the American people when they are all too willing to take our money to promote an agenda they themselves are not willing to follow.
