The House releases its report on the Benghazi attack

April 23, 2013

Earlier today the House released its report on the terrorist attack in Benghazi on September 11th which killed Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, and Sean Smith.

The highlights of this report can be found in this article but there is nothing new to anyone who has been following this story closely: The federal government failed to send enough security into the region before the attack even though there was intelligence stating there was a threat, requests for more security were not only ignored but security forces were withdrawn from the region, the four victims of the attack fought gallantly until the end, and the Obama regime misled the American people by claiming the attack was motivated by a youtube video that nobody had seen.

The  only question is, what the hell are they going to do about it? To this point the only person who has been held accountable is the United States citizen who had some  involvement in creating the video which was not the motivation behind the attack. And I would be willing to bet he will be the only person who is ever held responsible for the attack.

The federal government has let these four heroes down and as far as I can tell this is a dead issue, this is why it is time for a third party–perhaps the New Federalist Party!

It would appear that the Benghazi issue is pretty much closed, at least to the public. I know many liberals may think we are sad because the story didn’t take the Obama administration down, but there is much more to it than that. People, American citizens, died in that attack, but absolutely nothing was done about it. That’s the real tragedy, but our government doesn’t seem to care.

You are 100% right Larry, the biggest issue here isn’t the fact this didn’t take Obama down, the biggest issue here is that we have four dead Americans and nobody in our government seems to care!

The one thing they did do is lay it on Hillary and the state dept. of course the only ones who have read the story are a handful of us.

The world will end up paying a dear price for Obama’s Arab Spring. Did you see that there was a car bomb attack against the French embassy the other day in Tripoli?

I did! They are now emboldened! I heard an Israeli caller on talk radio say Israel is calling it the Islamist spring, I think that is much more accurate.

Thank you for the link. In a normal world, a military attack on an embassy and the brutal murder of an ambassador would be considered an act of war. A single gunship flying low over the attackers that night would have probably scattered them like cockroaches. Meanwhile, we have APCs in the streets of Boston looking for one shot-up punk. It just doesn’t seem right.
