Immigrants do not have to prove they are in America legally when applying for food stamps

April 26, 2013

According to this story potential immigrants to America do not have to prove that they are in the country legally when they sign up for government assistance:

The Department of Agriculture, via the Mexican government, assures potentially ineligible immigrants that they can still apply for food stamps on behalf of their eligible children without giving information about their immigration status

A USDA Spanish language flyer provided to the Mexican Embassy, according to Judicial Watch, reads that if potentially ineligible immigrants want to obtain benefits for their children they “need not divulge information regarding your immigration status in seeking this benefit for your children.”

The federal government is actively advertising in foreign countries with the goal of enticing potential immigrants to come to this country and sign up for welfare regardless of their immigration status. Personally, I do not see how this can be legal but apparently it is because Barack Obama and the federal government would never advocate breaking federal immigration laws, right?

All the while we have been told by the federal government that these people are only coming here to do the jobs that Americans will not do but it appears as if the federal government is asking potential immigrants to collect the benefits that the American people may be to proud to apply for with the ultimate goal of increasing dependency on the government in the hopes that it will help to keep them in power.

If you still think the federal government has the best interests of the American people at heart you had better think again. Somebody has to pay for this and as always it will be the hardworking taxpayers footing the bill for those who have entered the country illegally. Is this what Barack Obama considers sacrificing for the greater good?

I have also heard that the american embassy in Mexico City is distributing notices about the food stamp program in this country. Personally, I have many friends in the south of Mexico as I lived there off and on for a number of years. At one time in my life I thought about staying, but immigration laws there make it next to impossible for an american to work in that country. Don’t even let the mexican government catch you shining shoes on the corner. Our laws should reflect those south of the border when it comes to aliens, but realistically, that will never happen as both parties in the country are after the latino vote.

I’ve also heard that Mexico’s immigration laws are very strict, as any country’s laws should be. There is this joint effort by the US and Mexico to entice people to come to this country and Mexico isn’t trying to get rid of their upper class. Mexico is trying to get rid of the people it cannot afford to support but the problem is we can’t support them either.

Why is it that just a few of us catch the drift of what this man is about? I keep waiting for the outrage.

I don’t know, I keep waiting for it as well. A Boston radio host said yesterday that the fact the Boston bombers were on welfare and had tuition assistance it would bring down the governor. He hasn’t lived in Massachusetts very long and that statement proves it, nothing will bring down people live Deval Patrick or Barack Obama because the people really don’t seem to care.

It’s because the average tax payer doesn’t read our blogs and the MSM will never inform them. We must have one of most ill-informed electorates in the world.

Stories like this make my blood boil. I have no desire to see anyone suffer, but to come into our country illegally and then be able to get on the food stamp program is the ultimate insult to American citizens and legal immigrants. It feels like they are thumbing their noses at us and we are paying them to do it.

Exactly Larry. They are using our tax money to promote Mexicans to come to this country so they can get more of our tax dollars and once again it will be people like you and I who suffer for this.
