Eric Holder distances himself from the AP scandal

May 15, 2013

Eric Holder was on Capitol Hill today answering questions about the burgeoning AP scandal and he repeatedly said he had no idea what happened under his watch in the Injustice Department. The only thing he knows about the scandal is his assertion that he had nothing to do with secretly subpoenaing the phone records of 20 AP reporters.

This defense is ludicrous on its face but let us take him at his word for a moment. This is the same excuse he used when questioned about Operation Fast and Furious; much like this scandal he claimed Fast and Furious was set in motion by a few rogue agents in the field unbeknownst to him.

I believe in both of these cases Eric Holder is lying but even if he is telling the truth it really is not any better. If he has all these rogue agents running wild in the Injustice Department and he is unable to control them and unwilling to hold them accountable than it is time for him to step aside and let someone more competent than he lead the Department.

“…he repeatedly said he had no idea what happened under his watch in the Injustice Department.” That was his answer to Fast and Furious, too. Who the hell is running that department? For that matter, who the hell is running the Executive Branch? Obama never knows what is going on until he hears it on the news.

Jim, I think it was 57 “I don’t know’s”, is that enough for you? Kind of like Hillary with her, “I have no recollection”, isn’t it? If all he has to do is say he doesn’t know, then why the hell are they bothing to question him? Must be nice to be above the law!

Every day now I have a bit of a spring in my step. I listened to morning joe this morning. It was a joy to see tingles ready to cry.

I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same way. We are finally being vindicated for what we have been trying to tell the American people for years. I wish we were wrong but I always knew we were right!

Let’s see now, wasn’t Alberto Gonzales forced to resign because of wiretapping allegations? It is beyond my comprehension that Eric Holder still has his job.

There is no doubt in my mind that Holder should have been gone after Fast and Furious and now I do not see how he can keep his job. At worst he was involved in these scandals (which I believe) and at best he is simply incompetent–either way he must go.
