Syria used chemical weapons against rebels, Barack Obama promises more support for rebels while John McCain calls for airstrikes

June 13, 2013

It is now being reported that the Obama regime has concluded beyond a shadow of a doubt that Syrian President Bashar Assad used chemical weapons against the rebels seeking to overthrow him (where have we heard this before, Iraq maybe) crossing Barack Obama’s red line. In response to this news Barack Obama has pledged more support for the rebels:

The United States has conclusive evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime has used chemical weapons against opposition forces seeking to overthrow the government, crossing what President Barack Obama has called a “red line” that would trigger greater American involvement in the crisis, the White House said Thursday.

In response, two U.S. officials said Obama planned to send weapons and ammunition to bolster the rebel forces, though the specific instance and timeline for delivery were unclear

At this point we should remember that the Syrian rebels have previously voiced support for al-Qaeda:

A Syrian rebel group’s pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda’s replacement for Osama bin Laden suggests that the terrorist group’s influence is not waning and that it may take a greater role in the Western-backed fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The pledge of allegiance by Syrian Jabhat al Nusra Front chief Abou Mohamad al-Joulani to al-Qaeda leader Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri was coupled with an announcement by the al-Qaeda affiliate in Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq, that it would work with al Nusra as well.

Lebanese Sheik Omar Bakri, a Salafist who says states must be governed by Muslim religious law, says al-Qaeda has assisted al Nusra for some time.

“They provided them early on with technical, military and financial support , especially when it came to setting up networks of foreign jihadis who were brought into Syria,” Bakri says. “There will certainly be greater coordination between the two groups.”

It has been said that you can judge a person by the company he keeps so what does this say about our president? And what does this say about John McCain (who met with these al-Qaeda sympathizers) who is on record saying we should start  commencing airstrikes against the Syrian president?

Honestly, I don’t have a good solution for the mess in Syria. 18 months ago we could have supported the rebels and brought this civil war to a satisfactory conclusion. This situation there now is out of control with no good outcome in sight. Obama may just toss caution to the wind and go all in, in that civil war just to deflect from all the scandals at home—who knows. I’m almost to the point of supporting Assad—he might just be better than the rebels. But then there’s the Iran question? Normally I take a firm position on issues like this, but I just don’t see a good way out of this mess—-thanks Barack, for getting us to this point.

The timing does make you wonder if this is a deflection from the scandals, Obama was told a few weeks ago that chemical weapons were used and he waited until now to give us this news.

Who couldn’t see this coming? Obama, after months of dithering, now decides that his red-line was crossed just when he needs a diversion away from all of his scandals. It looks like Bernanke will never be able stop creating money out of thin air; QE infinity-plus.

If Muhammed Hussain Obama can aide Al-Quada in wresting control of Syria only two more dominoes are left to fall, Algeria and Jordan. With the nit-wit McCain as his wing man Obama will have little resistance in bringing Syria into the fold. This would be laughable if not so dangerous. While writing this I’m watching a military channel documentary focusing on the air traffic controllers on duty that fateful day. A gruesome rinder of how foolish this country and its leaders are. This kowtowing to Islam is a death wish for western civilization. Imagine we are being led in a supposed war on terror against an unnamed enemy by a fox in the henhouse.

Once all the dominoes fall and these countries all have terrorist sympathizing leaders what is going to happen to Israel and what will be our response?

The US diplomatically has never understood the Arab/Muslim world and the Quran.

“Saudi Arabia wants Assad out of power because it considers him a non-Sunni Muslim apostate, an ally of its Shiite enemy Iran and Saudi Arabia can’t bear the thought of an Alewite-Shiite ruling over Sunni Muslims, most of whom reject Saudi styled Sunni Salafist Wahhabism. The US and Saudi Arabia are arming and funding Wahhabist radicals in Syria to secure Wahhabist control of the nation. Why? Because Saudi Arabia doesn’t have the military power to do it, it likes to pretend that its on good terms with its Shiite neighbors and it prefers that the US do its dirty work. This has been going on for years because the House of Saud happily jumped in bed with western Big Oil and when the House of Saud demands something, western nations jump to do Wahhabist bidding and ask ‘how high’.

The entire Benghazi fiasco was nothing but a cover-up to funnel arms and money to Wahhabist jihadist in Syria.”

I’ve postulated in the past that John McCain wants to destroy America as revenge for letting him rot in the Hanoi Hilton for five years. After that photo op with al-Qaeda thugs, I’m convinced.

    The Axis of Evil…
Don’t get me wrong, I truly Love The US.. But This…Not Surprising from Obama :
So let’s go Kill The Syrian Christians.. (This Why Christianity Out Of The Army, at one point it could get its importance)

Thanks to Obama the result of the “Arab Spring” has been the persecution of the Christian minorities in all of those counties. The samething will happen in Syria.

Chris I agree with this and your previous comment.

It will be interesting to see Turkey…in all this.. as a Nato Member…as a Benghazy Last Supper .. And Creator of “The Friends Of Syria” With Hilary Clinton as Cheerleader (at the Time)..

Well Turkey is Number One Player in All This…but A : I keep my hands clean player..
Al Qaida and others can do the dirty job.
Suddenly those poor Syrian freedom fighter receive moral support…It has proved that they use themselves chemical weapon even brag on a video killing rabbits..
All the Crimes that they commit on civilians is far, really far more then Bashar all his time.
What was then.. for the most was crooked corrupt police.. taking some money from you, and surely other thing which not go for their praise.

Anyway we are far from it now ..with family put on the street and slaughter.. and kids….and..and..
If it were something to do, it is to protect borders..stop the shit to come in.. and regain village village and a way to protect those village.. and chase until the very last of those freedom fighter .. and then election to give a Syrian to Syria …Bashar said he was alright with an election but not in the current situation, and it clearly understandable…

        Bless You

What a sense of proportion from the pretender in chief and his acolytes on both sides of the aisle. While the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocents in equatorial Africa is met with television hucksters appealing for $19.00 a month to provide food, shelter, schools, etc even as we send billions to the gangsters responsible for the genocide, we will now, using the death by chemical weapons of up to 150 civilians as the excuse, send untold millions of dollars in arms to aid Al-Quada, I mean “the Rebels”.Let’s wax positive; eventually these weapons will also be used to kill american troops so Obama will be getting his money’s worth. With Bill Clinton, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and others as cheerleaders this will be a slam dunk for Obama. Initially he will need to tread lightly to ensure continued congressional consent and not let the constitution get in the way of his plans for supporting the radical Islamic domination of first the middle east, Europe and then the entire western hemisphere. He can count on the an american public disinterested in those current pesky scandals bugging the administration to applaud Obama’s courageous stand in Syria. Get me a drink; I’d rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy…

    • June 15, 2013 7:33 am

Thousands have been killed over there but now that 150 have died through the use of chemicals it is time to act? Something doesn’t add up, this could be Iraq all over again.

There never was a war Mccain didnt like. Once Samantha Power and susan Rice rose to the top of Obama’s food chain, it was written. The one positive is that this should finish off the lefy support Obama has.

    • June 15, 2013 6:23 pm

You would think this would kill off leftist support for Obama but we will have to wait and see. I am not sure there is anything he can do that will make the hardcore left abandon him.

Iran to send 4,000 troops to aid President Assad forces in Syria – Independent Newspaper

“For the first time, all of America’s ‘friends’ in the region are Sunni Muslims and all of its enemies are Shiites. Breaking all President Barack Obama’s rules of disengagement, the US is now fully engaged on the side of armed groups which include the most extreme Sunni Islamist movements in the Middle East”

We need to stop BO and the Gang of What Ever Number from sending arms to Syria. This is going to go very wrong very quickly.I am tired of seeing America losing lives and money on a foolish adventure. You know they have to send advisors when they send the weapons.

“Washington’s excuse for its new Middle East adventure – that it must arm Assad’s enemies because the Damascus regime has used sarin gas against them – convinces no-one in the Middle East. Final proof of the use of gas by either side in Syria remains almost as nebulous as President George W. Bush’s claim that Saddam’s Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.”
