Benghazi: Where is Col. George Bristol?

July 5, 2013

That is the question that some Republicans who are investigating the Obama regime over the Benghazi terrorist attack would like an answer to, but according to this story the Pentagon is not saying.

Marine Corps Col. George Bristol was in a key position in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) chain of command the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. As such, he’s high on the list of people that some Republican members of Congress want to interview. But they don’t know where he is and the Pentagon isn’t telling.

Pentagon spokesman Major Robert Firman told CBS News that the Department of Defense “cannot compel retired members to testify before Congress.”

Because he abruptly retired he cannot be compelled to testify, isn’t that convenient for the Obama regime? This is eerily similar to the case of General Petraeus, who resigned after his adulterous affair was uncovered by the Federal Government through his personal email correspondence. (NSA spying program anyone?)

In my opinion the Federal Government thought they had disposed of General Petraeus but in the end he did the right thing and testified although he did not have to. It looks like the government is using the same tactic here and it makes you wonder what they have on him in order to keep him silent.

If I were George Bristol I would watch my back because, as Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings could tell you if he were still alive, people have a nasty habit of getting dead around Barack Obama.

When I heard this on the radio this morning, I literally gasped. Talk about obstruction on steroids. Wow.

I find it difficult to believe that–with or without the Pentagon’s assistance–that he can’t be tracked down and be compelled to testify before Congress. Of course, the witless Republicans are in charge, so all bets are off.

There is no doubt in my mind the powers that be do not want this man to testify, now it will be up to the Republicans to do something about it and I do not have faith enough in them to think they will.

Are we to believe that the party of peace, love, understanding and gun control elects as its leaders guys who use murder to cover their tracks ala Whitewater, Dorsey Park, Ron Brown? Oops, wrong president. When do the bodies start piling up for the current pretender in chief?

This reminds me a post I did awhile back regarding the disappearing Generals. This regime has gotten rid of most of the top ones, especially those regarding Africa. This story is really big. Whatever they are hiding looks like it could bring him down.

ONLY if the Republicans ruthlessly press the matter, failing which it will be yet another of a lengthy list of violations of trust.

I remember that post and it is odd that Obama has gotten rid of so many high level military personnel. There is no doubt that this scandal is even bigger than we will probably ever know.

Thank you so much for stopping by America’s Watchtower and I hope you will continue to visit because I look forward to what you have to offer in opposition. Because you decided to insult us rather than debate us I am looking forward to hearing your defense of the Obama regime on this issue.Or is that all you have?

We should also be asking about COL Gibson the SF CO who was in Tripoli the night of 9-11-12 and was told to stand down.
