The DREAM Act is being used to free violent criminals

July 18, 2013

House Republican leadership is beginning to coalesce around the DREAM Act: John Boehner has given the idea a thumbs up, calling it “basic fairness,” and Eric Cantor has called it the “compassionate” thing to do.

The typical line that supporters of the DREAM Act use over and over again goes something like this: We should not punish those who came to this country as babies through no fault of their own and have committed no crimes since their arrival.

That is all very well and good, and I could almost go along with it, but what happens when you have a corrupt, banana republic-like regime with a total lack of respect for the laws running the country? That is a different story altogether, but that is what we have, so when Barack Obama issued an Executive Order which granted defacto amnesty to illegal aliens and followed it up with another that implemented the DREAM Act, basically undoing the immigration laws on the books with two swipes of the pen, we knew bad things were going to follow. We just did not know how bad.

We learned shortly thereafter that if an illegal alien was arrested all he or she had to do was claim they were protected by the DREAM Act and  ICE was forced to let them go regardless of whether or not the person had proof to back up the claim.

Which brings us around to today’s story; as if it were not bad enough that  all an illegal alien has to do is claim he or she is protected by the DREAM Act when they are arrested to be let go, ICE agents are now forced to go jail cell to jail cell and ask incarcerated adults who have been convicted of violent crimes if they qualify for the DREAM Act and if they answer yes, because there is no proof required, they are released.

Here is what National ICE Council president Chris Crane had to say:

What the Obama Administration has ICE agents now doing is we now go into jails and prisons looking for illegal aliens inside of those facilities who have committed and been convicted of crimes. So we apply the Dream Act not to kids, in schools, but to adult inmates and have to ask them basically ‘Do you qualify for President Obama’s Dream Act?’ When they tell us ‘Yes we qualify’ we can’t even require them to give us any kind of proof, a transcript, or anything like that. We can’t detain them for investigation to substantiate the claims, we simply have to release them to the street. They walk out the back door of the jail as ‘Dreamers.’ There is nothing we can do about that

So, as you can see, the DREAM Act is not being used for the purpose the Obama regime–and other supporters of the DREAM Act such as John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Kelly Ayotte–would have us believe, it is being used to basically ensure that no illegal alien has to spend time in prison even for other crimes committed, and I thought one of the qualifying factors in the DREAM Act was that you did not commit an additional crime?

This is a policy more Republicans are beginning to support?

There were days I struggled to find something to post about, No more, The hits are coming so fast one cannot keep up. Just as planned by this regime. Sickening/

I hear you there and like you said, it is part of the plan. Throw so much at us at once that it is impossible to keep up so that something slips by, hopefully there are enough of us out here so that everything gets caught by one person or another.

Have you read the rest of the interview with Chris Cane? There is much more there than even the outrage you have outlined. We have Obama doing whatever he wants, the sequester causing grief because his administration wants to inflict pain in certain areas, and ICE is given $6 billion to waste. And they wonder why so many Americans don’t trust the federal government.

oh ps he served in the military too and was honorably discharged but he is rotting in prion over very minor because of 3 strikes laws! He deserves to be free! There is a big “race war” brewing so they can proclaim Marshall law, and lock up whoever without even probable cause. This is xactly what the commies did, read how to destroy a country from the inside.
