Obamacare: NBC reports that businesses, unions, and colleges admit hours are being cut because of Obamacare, the White House denies
America’s Watchtower, and great bloggers such as Matt at Conservative Hideout, have been writing for months about a growing trend in several industries due to Obamacare, and that trend is the cutting of workers’ hours to under 30 in order to avoid the now delayed employer healthcare mandate.
Without trying to inflate our own importance, we in the blogosphere like to feel as if we are covering an issue the mainstream media has been avoiding. But with the recent news on Obamacare, such as the delay in the employer mandate, the Congress asking the president to exempt Federal employees from the law, and the delay of the out-of-pocket caps, the debacle known as Obamacare has reached such critical mass that the mainstream media has been forced to start covering this issue.
Today NBC belatedly weighed in on an issue many bloggers have been writing about for months with a report which can be seen here, stating that their investigation has revealed employers, unions, and college professors are admitting that employee hours are being cut as a direct result of Obamacare in order to avoid offering healthcare benefits. Personally I am enjoying a bit of schadenfreude at seeing union employees and college professors suffering as a result of policies they supported without knowing or realizing what the results would be while those of us who opposed the legislation were ridiculed and made a mockery of. They are getting what they deserve for supporting Obamacare in the first place.
The White House responded by basically saying: move along, nothing to see here. The White House says there is no evidence that this is a trend in spite of the trend and call this nothing more than anecdotal evidence. I guess everything is anecdotal when you are exempted from the law and its effects and have no skin in the game.
Although I have not spoken to Matt before posting this I think that I can speak for him, as well as myself, when I say we told you so. In all honesty this was not a hard prediction to make, and while NBC calls this an unintended consequence, I believe that this was part of the plan all along for it will pave the way for single payer insurance and that is the end game and has been all along.

As usual, the Progressive lapdog media is the last to get the memo and as usual, the Progressive lapdog media is the first to dismiss reality and facts.

We are living in the post-constitutional era Steve, no matter what Chief Justice Robert says. Now lucky American can loof forward to having two part=time jobs, working 60 hours per week with no over time and no benefits.

This is how I see Americans living in the future: Working multiple part time jobs to make enough money to make ends meet with no benefits. Such is life in Obamerica!

If there really was a recovery Obamanocare would go a long way towards wiping it out. Since thee is no recovery, what difference does it make…quoting Ponderosa- ass Hillary.

This is only going to make it harder for a recovery to occur and Obama doesn’t have a problem with that, he only wants to wait until after the election.

It is one thing when the media lies to us, but when the Unions and Libs are starting to scream about it, well, all I can say is “tough”. They knew what was happening, but were hoping that they would be exempt to it all , by their buddy Barry. What they failed to realize is that he has no friends and he doesn’t feel he owes anything to anyone. He is a “user”. What a poor excuse for a human being. We can take a bit of pleasure in the knowledge that they will go down the same rathole as the rest of us, what little pleasure that may be.

Exactly Lou! I do not feel bad for the unions and everyone else who supported this measure simply because they thought they would be exempted from it, they are getting what the deserve. Sadly we also have to pay for their sell out.

Thanks for the link Steve. You spoke for me perfectly. I have an entire category, “Elections Have Consequences.” We warned people about this, but they wanted more hope and change. Now, they are being forced to live with the consequences.

You are welcome, I thought that I would be representing your view on this. Of course it wasn’t all that hard to assume what your position would be. 🙂
