John Boehner and Eric Cantor support taking action in Syria

September 3, 2013

The elitist ruling class Republicans are all beginning to side with Barack Obama on the issue of attacking Syria. First came, to nobody’s surprise, John McCain and Lindsey Graham, and now John Boehner and Eric Cantor have announced they support the bombing of Syria because somebody might have used chemical weapons in that civil war. We still do not know for sure which side used the chemical weapons and I contend the rebels did in order to draw the United States into the conflict on their side.

So now in addition to top Democrats the top Republicans are joining the fray and will support the al-Qaeda rebels in Syria. Lest you forget it was al-Qaeda who attacked the United States on September 11th of 2001 and 2012.  And these rebels are actually being trained by the same branch of al-Qaeda which led the attack on the consulate in Benghazi which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead. I never thought I would live to see the day when the United States would support the group which attacked us on September 11th, but that day is fast approaching.

Somebody still need to answer this question: Why are we preparing a military response to Syria when we never responded militarily to the attack on the United States in Benghazi, either during the attack or in response to it?

Apparently our interest in interfering in this civil war is to show the world we are not weak, for I can see no other reason, yet we showed the world we were weak when we didn’t have the balls to respond to an act of war which left four Americans dead, instead apologizing for a disgusting video which had nothing to do with the attack.

This whole situation, and those who support this attack, disgusts me! With the leadership of both parties on board with this attack, and with anywhere between 60-70% of the American people against this attack, the issue will be decided by the rank and file Democrats and Republicans. Will they succumb to the political pressure of their leaders within the parties, or will the listen to their true leaders–the American people? Only time will tell…..

Paraphrasing Gomer Pyle, well golly, surprise surprise surprise. The gang of 535 were on board before the charade even began. What I heard while listening to these hearings today were veiled kudos to the one man ruler of the country, Barry O. It’s kinda’ sounds and feels like these jerk offs on the committee are getting their pound of flesh before giving an approval already predetermined. I reckoned that Rubio was the biggest weenie outside of McGraham. Did Rand Paul make a Freudian slip when he told Kerry that you’re going to get your approval….. Business as usual on the Obama plantation.

I think you are right, the fix might already be in, but I am still (foolishly?) holding out hope that the rank and file members will vote against this.

Why so surprised? War is good business. A thorough background check by any real journalist(if there’s any left in the US) would surely reveal that most of them have stock portfolios in defence companies. The American people don’t run things, they only get to vote and make a lot of noise. Males no difference whether it’s Bush or Obama.

I am not surprised but it still angers me even though I knew this was coming. These people are all in bed with the special interests and they all have stocks in the companies all of their policies affect. The American people are always the losers. That is why it is time for the New Federalist Party.

Sorry to say, I believe they will approve it, the Republicans are playing right into Obamas hands…he will either come out smelling like a rose or he will blame them if things turn sour. The people we elected to Congress apparently are not cut from the same cloth as the rest of us. Maybe when they first went in, but DC changed them into what we see today. That is another reason to have TERM LIMITS! They would not get as comfortable and know they have to actually do a real job in a specified time after they hold that office. The show they put on today was exactly that a SHOW! We know the outcome,in the end, Boehner backs down and we get screwed. Are you tired of getting screwed??? I sure am. We do not need to get involved, as much as some people think we should. Hasn’t there been about 120,000 killed in Syria to date before this was brought to our attention by this Administration? Were those people less important than the 1,400 or so now? Why? I see this as another one of Obamas dog and pony shows, again. He uses people, doesn’t matter if it is here in the US or a foreign country, he is a user for his own benefit. I just have not figured out what he is going to get out of this war he is going to get our military in. I would not think the men and women in the military are very happy about this, they joined up to protect the US.

I am still holding out hope that this will fail because the non-leaders of the party will say enough is enough. I know I shouldn’t hold out hope but at this point it is all that I have. You are right about why Obama wants Congressional approval; he wants to be able to deflect the blame if anything goes wrong, but he will take all the credit if it turns out well. Why can’t the Congress see this?!

I called my Rep and senators office. They seemed at low ebb merely acknowledging I called. Didn’t ask for even my name. I then e mailed and got one response that he would get back to me. Sure, a month from now.

Sad isn’t it, they really do not seem to care what we think.

Maybe I have my tin foil hat screwed on too tight, Steve, but I think there is more to this than meets the eye. I think the puppet masters (TPTB) are pulling on all their strings. For their own profit motive reasons, they want the US to involve itself in this conflict. This conflict, in my opinion, is about Syria, yes, but it is about the entire region. There is some geo-political resuffling in the plans of TPTB. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂

If you have a tinfoil hat on so do I. Barack Obama is a globalist and he is a puppet to the shadow globalists who are actually running this country into the ground for their own profits.

They could at least trade in the obamacare for their votes. Too dumb for that even.

The fix was in on Obamacare once the federal workers were exempted. I wonder what Obama has on Boehner, he has to have something.

So, we have Boehner and Cantor coming out in support of Obama’s plan to strike Syria. If they believe this is going to convince Obama to like them more, to make real compromise with them, they are sadly mistaken. He is going to use them for his own purposes and then, under the bus they will go.

In spite of all the bluster and rhetoric, I have yet to hear a good excuse for the United States to insert itself into the Syrian civil war.

I hope they are not foolish enough to believe that Obama would give something back in return for their war votes, if so they deserve what they get when he turns on them. There is no reason we need to go in there, hell we didn’t even go into Benghazi after our men were killed there. Why is nobody in the Congress mentioning this?

What we need is a Godfather type of President on foreign affairs. I have never understood why we haven’t sent a special forces team into these countries and kidnapped the offending leader and taken them to an aircraft carrier for “an offer they can’t refuse”. A good swift kick in the ass would get results.

We look like idiots to the rest of the world if we don’t mind our own business. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Yes, the world is laughing at us right now and I think that might just be the biggest reason why people are jumping on board with this.

I do not know about the rest of you, but I feel like I am sitting back watching a movie unfold in front of me. Now I see Obama on tv after being asked about the “red line” thingy and he flat out said HE didn’t say that. The media let it slide, so exactly WHO did say that? He blamed it on the “world”, so once again we have our Commander in Chief, NOT taking any responsibility on anything.
Larry, if it didn’t have some effect on the rest of us, I would say let those in Congress go ahead and back Obama, they deserve what they get. BUT, we don’t deserve that, we deserve better than what we have in office. Maybe, IF there is another vote we get to make, this time, the American people will make an educated vote, instead of voting party line only.

It is amazing isn’t it? Obama clearly said he was drawing a red line and now he is claiming the world drew the line. He is making an ass out of himself and yet the media just plays right along.
