Obamacare: Richard Trumka admits the law is causing employers to cut hours, calls for changes

  During the Obamacare debate the Democrats carved out an exemption for big labor in order to win support of the labor unions, leaving one to wonder why, if Obamacare was so great, would the unions not want their employees to fall under the law the rest of American (with the exception of federal employees  of course) are now saddled with.

  With their members exempted from the law the unions signed on to Obamacare and the Democrats no longer had to fear the repercussions of upsetting one of their largest special interest groups.

  Now that the law is in place the unions are learning that they will not be excempted from the tax on “cadillac” healthcare plans and they are not happy. With the news that the ACL-CIO is losing 40,0000 members due in large part to Obamacare Richard Trumka was forced to speak out against the law.

   According to this article Trumka is now admitting that companies are cutting employee hours to under 30 hours in order to avoid the healthcare law and he is calling for changes.

  Of course many of us knew, and predicted, this would happen so it is illogical to believe that Richard Trumka did not see this coming as well; if we knew it so did he. But he didn’t give a damn because he thought the unions were going to be safe, and that was all he really cared about. So much for equal treatment under the law.

    Now that he is being affected by the law he suddenly cares about the ill effects of the law, for all he really cares about is himself and he wants to stop the bleeding while there is still time.

  I said it before and I will say it again: The unions are getting exactly what they deserve for making this deal and believing this president in the first place. I do not feel sorry for him or his union hacks, and in fact I am feeling a bit of schadenfreude to tell you the truth.
