Barack Obama asks the Supreme Court to take up the abortion mandate in Obamacare

September 21, 2013

Last week we learned that Obamacare was headed back to the Supreme Court; the issue to be decided this time revolves around the abortion mandate. Some Christian business owners do not want to provide healthcare insurance which covers the costs of abortions, citing their faith and moral opposition to the practice. They are claiming this mandate violates the Religious Freedom Reformation Act.

But in an interesting twist we are just now finding out that the Obama regime has petitioned the Supreme Court to take up the Hobby Lobby challenge to the abortion mandate as well, meaning there  most likely will be two challenges before the Supreme Court on the issue at the same time.

As you may be aware, I do not trust Barack Obama in the least and I always look for the ulterior motive behind his actions. But what could it be in this case?

It is all about the timing. Look at the way this plays out:

The Court could grant either of these petitions or could review both cases and argue them back-to-back on the same day. Depending on how Becket Fund responds to this petition, the justices will vote either in October or November to take the case, which would place it on the Court’s calendar for argument in February or March with a final decision in May or June 2014.

The decision would most likely be handed down in May or June of 2014, isn’t there something else happening toward the end of 2014? Oh yeah, the midterm elections, and this decision will be rendered in the midst of the race, What a coincidence!

In 2012 the election strategy of the Democrats was clear–divide and conquer. They purposely tried to, and succeeded in, driving a wedge between black and white, rich and poor, gay and straight, and most notably in light of this news, man and woman. Who can forget the fictional war on women?

And here we go again; it is obvious to me that Barack Obama is laying the foundation for the Democrats’ strategy to win back the House in 2014 by reigniting the old war on women. And this allows Barack Obama to position himself as being up front and center in the fight for women’s rights.

He really cannot lose here: If the Supreme Court rules against the abortion mandate and declares it unconstitutional the Democrats have their rallying cry and this will be a major theme during the election. But even if the Supreme Court upholds the abortion mandate I do not think Barack Obama can lose because he can still claim that even though the mandate is Constitutional the Republicans are still going to try to take it away, and the Republicans will comply by admonishing the decision.

Voilá! The war on women is back either way.

And just who is the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016? This is not going to go away any time soon; just as you were labeled a racist for opposing Barack Obama,  you will be labeled a misogynist for opposing Hillary Clinton. (The dictionary does not define men as the only people who can be misogynists, so yes a woman can be classified using that term as well.)

And now with the Pope appearing to be easing the catholic church’s stance on abortion the right may be left blowing in the wind. Everything seems to fall into this guy’s lap as if on cue.

Just because these people are evil to the core doesn’t mean they don’t know a good strategy when they see one.

Because they are evil they are able to think in ways that keep them ahead of the curve, and they are always at least one step ahead of us.

It is also likely that this case is weaker. He wants the weakest case in front of the judges. I will say this, the Demon-crats run circles around the Police State Republicans in strategy right now.

That is an interesting point that I hadn’t thought of but it seems likely, and yes, they are always at least one step ahead of the Republicans.

I’m not the least bit surprised at this strategy. On the surface, it would seem to be a good way to work towards influencing the elections in 2014. However, there could be a flip side to it. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of the abortion mandate, there will be a political backlash from conservatives who will have had far too much of this administration overstepping its authority. I’m not sure if that will be enough to sway the elections, but it is possible.

That is an interesting aspect that I hadn’t thought of. Conservatives stayed home in 2012 rather than vote for Romney, perhaps this is an issue which will motivate them to head to the polls in 2014.

If the supremes vote in favor of the abortion mandate it just might take us over the Finish line. Obama is starting to flail. His once clever team has mostly departed. He may be just getting too clever.

I hope he is getting too smart for his own good, but I wonder if the Republicans are smart enough to take advantage of it.
