Afterburner with Bill Whittle: The Cookie Cutter Curriculum

October 25, 2013

In the latest Afterburner Bill Whittle takes on a subject that I have not yet written about and that is Common Core. He does it much better than I ever could so I will let him speak for me.

In this video he states how Common Core will do for education what Obamacare did for healthcare. He states: “all of the faults will get incorporated into a single of failure and then that point fails, but you can always call the toll free number 1-800-IMSHOKD.” He then goes on to state that this is nothing more than the Ministry of Truth.

Bill Whittle has outdone himself yet again, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

You can thank the Reb Governors for helping create this monstrosity especially Jeb Bush. Unfortunately the little red school is another myth. The city of Boston schools are the oldest public schools in America. The public school movement became standardized with the normal schools and teacher colleges in the mid 1800’s. Urban schools have formed the backbone of American education. Unfortunately, unions, the ruling elite and univerities have driven a stake through the heart of local education. Educational reform is another issue that can not happen given the stakeholders and misinformation that currently exist. The public is all too willing to pour money down the educational rat hole.

Once the unions became involved education became about the teachers and not the student and you are right, because of the unions this will never be reformed.

Thanks for sharing the video, Steve. I borrowed the video and put up my own post about Common Core. Independent Sentinel has a lot of information on the issue.
