Homeland Security raids reporter’s house and confiscates her confidential papers
According to this story the Department of Homeland Security raided the house of Audrey Hudson–an investigative journalist–with a search warrant for weapons and ammunition because her husband was convicted of resisting arrest in 1986.
A search warrant obtained by TheDC indicates that the August raid allowed law enforcement to search for firearms inside her home.
The document notes that her husband, Paul Flanagan, was found guilty in 1986 to resisting arrest in Prince George’s County. The warrant called for police to search the residence they share and seize all weapons and ammunition because he is prohibited under the law from possessing firearms.
So in 2013 DHS raids her house for a crime which was committed in 1986? Doesn’t that seem a little odd to you that all of a sudden they decided this house needed to be investigated? Why is that? Well, perhaps we can gain a clue by looking at what else DHS made off with:
But without Hudson’s knowledge, the agents also confiscated a batch of documents that contained information about sources inside the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration
According to the article I linked to above the warrant said nothing about searching for papers, just weapons. It is pretty clear to me, if Audrey Hudson’s account of the story is correct, that the Department of Homeland Security had no interest in searching for weapons and the true goal of the department was to confiscate the papers with Audrey Hudson’s sources. The weapons charge was made up in order to gain access to the house.
Barack Obama’s Gestapo strikes again! There is a pattern emerging here; if you are in the media and you oppose the president’s agenda you had better tread lightly because you are a target. There is nothing the president will not do in order to silence anyone who opposes his agenda and this seems to be the latest example of intimidation conducted by what is quickly becoming an authoritarian regime.

This smells to high heaven. But, did she not get a copy of the search warrant inventory of things taken from her home? She should file a civil suit against all agencies involved in the search. Sadly, it will be too late for the whistleblowers. It has been said many times, Obama takes every affront personally. He has to punish anyone who disagrees with him.

That is exactly what this is about! Retribution and punishment for opposing the Dear Leader.

Since when does the DHS get involved in a case of a single person having firearms confiscated?! That’s typically left to either local LEO’s, the ATF, or the FBI. This stinks like last week’s diapers.

I think we are going to see more and more of this. DHS is being morphed into a domestic military police force.

I used to wonder what this administration would be willing to do to cover its backside. I no longer have to wonder, as it is evident in their actions every day. This is not the America I grew up in.
