Barack Obama claims he never said people could keep their healthcare coverage

November 5, 2013

Last night at an  Organizing for Action event Barack Obama addressed the attendees and actually had the gall to claim that he never promised people they would be able to keep their healthcare plans if they liked what they had.

He made the claim that his promise was always qualified by the word ‘if.’ Here is what he had to say last night:

What we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law was passed,” he told Obamacare’s political beneficiaries and contractors.

That’s strange because I do not remember Barack Obama saying anything about not being able to keep your plan if something within that plan changed. Luckily for us in this day and age we have video, perhaps the president forgot about this, so let us take a listen to what he said during the debate over Obamacare:

That is what I thought, there was no qualifier in any of those statements. It is true that the provisions in Obamacare state that a plan which has changed since the law was implemented will no longer be grandfathered, but that is not what Barack Obama told us.

And we had nothing else to go on at that time other than his word because we were not allowed to see what was in the bill until after it was passed. Who could forget Nancy Pelosi’s now infamous comment? His word was all the people had and he lied to us and he did it on purpose to avoid the backlash until after he won reelection.

This man is a pathological liar.

A sad state of affairs when in a free and open society a despot has life and death power over a cutizen’s right to choose. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts…

I doubt the man is capable of telling the truth. His mind automatically produces a lie when ever he is asked a question. Isn’t that the definition of a pathological liar?

I think it is! He honestly believes what he says at this point because he has grown so used to lying about everything.

When I read about this, I was stunned into silence. I had no words, my chin hit the floor. What absolutely ASTOUNDS me are the many, many people who are DEFENDING and STILL SUPPORTING him.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. We have a country FILLED with elected officials and citizens who are willing and eager to be fooled time and time again.

    Charlie Brown. Lucy. Football….

I am astounded by all the Democrats who are out there defending him as well by claiming the statement was accurate but not clear enough. Do these people think we are that stupid? Apparently so.

Tonight I learned I work with SEVERAL of the stoopid people.

They parroted the EXACT justifications spouted by the media and dems.

“Obama NEVER said people could keep their insurance if they liked it, he said people could keep their insurance IF it met certain requirements.’

“The policies being cancelled are ‘junk’ polices. The new policies they get will be cheaper and better.”

My favorite – “It doesn’t matter because it’s only a small % of policies being cancelled.”

As if that MAKES THE LIE OK. My gosh these people are unbelievable.

It is amazing the lengths these people will go to in order to defend the president, or is it that secretly they know they were wrong but just don’t want to admit it? I hope it is the latter because I don’t think they can really believe the spin they are now trying to put on it. Of course, even if they regret what Obama did I would bet they will still vote Democrat in the next election.

The Dictator will never ever admit he made up a story about keeping your insurance. Too many people want free health insurance and they are happy their neighbor is getting screwed. The Rep have no clear message because they are part of the ruling elite class.and have no real interest in standing up for the American people. Just wait till next year when people on group plans are kicked off their plans.

I think you nailed it. Too many people still think they are going to get free healthcare and they will never vote to alter this, and the ruling class would rather run against Obamacare than do anything about it because they feel they can win more votes by campaigning against it. This is only going to get worse in the next year and it could get very ugly.

I have came to the conclusion that Barack Obama is of the opinion that he can say or do whatever he wants, with no consequences. He can always go back and deny it all. It seems to be working for him, thus far. I am hopeful that will change.
