Open thread for Sunday, December 1st: Fight, Fight, Fight!

December 1, 2013

Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 10th; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

As usual you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is going on in the world. You can also subscribe to receive email updates and if you do you will never miss a post again.

In case you have not noticed I have replaced the old Twitter widget with a new, fully interactive Twitter widget. This widget updates my tweets in near real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. Is also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?

Please check out what the New Federalist Party has been up to by clicking on the link to the right. On the NFP Facebook page you will find a link to the party platform. Check it out and if you like what you see we are currently looking for donations and delegates to the states for the convention.

The last couple of weeks have been trying times for the old republic; from the EPA moving to implement cap and trade and expand their power under the Clean Water Act to basically gain control over private property, to the IRS now targeting people who speak out against Obamacare, to Harry Reid implementing the nuclear option giving the president the chance to pack the courts and rubber stamp his radical agenda, it would seem that all is lost.

“These are the times that try men’s souls.” It is weeks like this that make a person want to give up, but giving up is for the “Summer soldier and the sunshine patriot,” for they will “shrink from the service of his country.”

We must fight on no matter how lost the cause may feel!  Those that endure now “deserve the love and thanks of man and woman.”

Remember, you can fill up the sky, you don’t have to give in. Here is The Cure performing ‘Fight’ live in 2012. Read the words written on Robert Smith’s guitar and remember we are “citizens not subjects.”

Sometimes there’s nothing to feel
Sometimes there’s nothing to hold
Sometimes there’s no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it all seems like there’s no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Fight fight fight
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don’t cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don’t howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stopFight fight fight
Fight fight fightSo when the hurting starts
And when the nightmares begin
Remember you can fill up the sky
You don’t have to give in
You don’t have to give in

Never give in
Never give in
Never give in

Just Asking You Have Hockey In Your Area..
As I’m here I wanted to put Fight Back from Discharge (they were 80’s in Britain)
I like it in the morning… “decontrol” is their best song in my ear. If you like it then I suggest The “Hear nothing See nothing Say nothing” LP

    .
    Stand up fight for freedom
Stand up fight for your rights

Yeah, hockey is big in this area. I don’t watch all the regular season games but playoff hockey is unbelievable! Thanks for the link to Fight Back From Discharge, I like this type of music but haven’t listened to it for years, will have to check out more.
