A new study claims Barack Obama only met once with Kathleen Sebelius over Obamacare since it was signed into law
According to this story, a new study has been released which concludes that Barack Obama only met with Kathleen Sebelius one time in the three plus years between the time Obamacare was signed into law until the disastrous roll-out.
Kathleen Sebelious was charged with basically writing the Obamacare regulations as well as overseeing the healthcare exchange website and Barack Obama could not be bothered to even inquire about the progress on his signature legislation? Was he just not interested in the progress (or lack thereof) being made?
This tells me that while the president loves the publicity that comes with achieving what he considers to be legislative victories that he either has no interest in actually becoming involved in the details of governing or he was distancing himself from the law from the beginning just in case it turned out as badly as it did for he knew the difficulties involved in trying to implement such a large program.
Either way, this shows a total lack of leadership on the part of Barack Obama.

A good manger must know how to deligate. An inept manger will either not deligate (Jimmy Carter) or deligate 100% (Barack Obama).

Yeah, he purposely removes himself from the minutia just in case things go badly and that is what we are seeing here. He is no leader.

I think he knew it would fail all along.

He sure did and that was the intention, but maybe he was distancing himself from it because he knew it would and he wanted to be able to blame others while getting what he wanted at the same time.

I agree. Any person who asks for something of this magnitude to be built and never meets with the person in charge of the project even once in three years, has no expectation of success.

Maybe she should have gotten a tee time with him!

Obama appears to run things purely on the basis of headlines and op-eds in the NY Times. For example, he has no real interest in health care per se, but wanted a headline. He was thus uninvolved and uninterested in writing the bill or its implementation. He just wanted to see the bill passed so he could take credit for it. Noonan got it right–he is the low-information president. Sad.
