I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is going on in the world. You can also subscribe to receive email updates and if you do you will never miss a post again.
In case you have not noticed I have replaced the old Twitter widget with a new, fully interactive Twitter widget. This widget updates my tweets in near real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. Is also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?

I would also like to take a moment to remember Pearl Harbor Day; yesterday was extremely busy and I did not have to time to sit down at the computer and write a post. To those of the greatest generation who died on that day; you are not forgotten and always remembered.

America's Watchtower 
After reading Betrayed, Billy Vaughn’s account of the death of his Navy Seal son Aaron Vaughn, one is left with feelings of disgust and hopelessness. This story is an in depth look at the politically correct ROE (rules of engagement) and the harm wrought upon our service men and women. Coupled with the UMCJ (Uniform Military Code of Justice) they are little more than cannon fodder for an unjust and corrupt system that leaves them in harms way at best and little chance if justice.
It should become SOP (standard operating proceedure) that anyone, prior to enlisting in any branch of service be given a detailed accounting of the ROE before enlisting. Forewarned is forearmed. It is doubtful that anyone knowing their right to exercise their own survival instinct is stripped away by a policy that is close to being a death warrant. This book is a must read for all especially those contemplating enlistment and their parents .

“…December 7, 1941, a day that (will no longer) live in infamy…”. My work is such that I don’t see a calender, so unless I hear the date, I am a bit out of the loop. Nothing was said on the MSM, and although President Whiz-bang will use ANY reason to get on TV, I didn’t hear him talk about this.

Why not forget December 7th, 1941? Just as Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays are in the dumpster, Thanksgiving on the brink and remembering September 11th, 2001is offensive and forgotten. And once Christmas is outlawed the rest will fall like dominoes. As long as we have a black Friday and cyber Monday once a month all will be fine in the land of the great unwashed.

I think you are right Peter, Columbus Day is old history. We can dump all those arcane dates and rename them Shopping day 1, Shopping day 2 and on and on.

I want to throw this out for “open thread Sunday” because I think I have solved a puzzle.
I could not figure out why the left wing politicians want all their government workers to be unionized. They love unions in general, and unions love the left, and put them in office. BUT the job of the union is to protect them from their “evil, greedy unfair” employers. I asked a local councilman why they were so bad to their employees that the employees needed union representation. He said they weren’t bad to them, and that they pretty much gave them what they wanted, ,,,so again, why do they think all their employees need the unions to protect them from their employer?
BECAUSE THE TAX PAYER IS THE EMPLOYER! The politicians are protecting the useless workers from the tax payer who expects something for their tax dollar! A great example is where tax payers expect good teachers, but the left doesn’t want the tax payer to have any say in that. So instead, they have the rubber rooms where useless unionized teachers just sit all day because the union stops them from getting fired! You see, WE ARE THE ENEMY!

You nailed it! We have the government employers negotiating with the government employees over how much of our money they are going to split up and yet the taxpayer has no say even though it is our money. We have no say in this even though we are paying the bills!

Yeah, my spam filter usually catches these but some get through. I usually delete them when I find them but it looks like I missed a few.

Thank you so much for the compliment, I appreciate it! Some days I get hundreds of spam comments but most of them are caught before they ever get posted but some slip through. I always get an update on my phone when someone comments and when I see a spam comment got through I deleted them, but somehow I missed all of these ones.
Thanks for the heads up, I have deleted them. For some reason this post has been getting quite a bit of spam comments.
