John Boehner fires the top conservative in the House Republican Study Committee

December 12, 2013

Just over one year ago John Boehner punished the conservatives in the Republican party by removing them from key budget committee positions, he did this because they had the gall to challenge the status quo in Washington and he did not like people challenging his authority. After all, he feels his power is his natural born right. John Boehner did not like the way they voted on budget issues; in other words they failed to fall in lockstep with the elitist, ruling class establishment Republicans so they had to be taught a lesson.

After doing this John Boehner turned around and threatened more conservatives with the same punishment if they did not fall in line with the establishment. And yesterday it appears as if John Boehner made good on this threat.

According to this article, which does not mention Boehner by name but rest assured he was behind this, the House has fired Paul Teller. Mr Teller was the Executive Director of the House Republican Study Committee before John Boehner disposed of him and replaced him with one of his cronies. Needless to say, this is not sitting well with the same conservative groups John Boehner has been trashing for the last two days:

“[Paul Teller] was summarily fired today in a move that can only be perceived as a shot to conservatives and Tea Party Members who are not part of the establishment.”

“Paul is a conservative who works closely with outside groups, like ours,  in order to communicate to Members of Congress what is being said in the outside world, the rest of the country that they often times forget they are supposed to be Representing,” Martin said in a statement. “This is truly a line in the sand against those who want less government.”

It has become painfully clear that John Boehner feels as if the conservative wing of his party is a threat to his power and when push comes to shove power is all that John Boehner really cares about. It should be remembered here that if it were not for these people John Boehner would not have replaced Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House because the Democrats would not have lost the House if it were not for the very people John Boehner is now trashing.

But that was then and this is now, I just wish John Boehner was committed to fighting as hard against Barack Obama and his radical agenda as he is with fighting against this wing of his own party…..

Amen to everything you wrote, but especially the last sentence. John Boehner needs to figure out who the real enemy is in this fight. And yes, I said enemy. I have come to the conclusion that the people who push these liberal policies onto the rest of us are certainly not our friends.

It just goes to show the the Republican Party platform, which is conservative, is just for show as far as the establishment is concerned. Bring on the New Federalist Party, Steve. The Republicans do not want us. They can’t win anything important without us and they don’t want to win with us.

Oh yea Steve. Bring it on!!!!! As a registered Republican for years, I can’t take Boehner any longer. He’s a political misfit and he’s making us look bad. I say he should be thrown out with the trash and replaced by a REAL conservative!

You nailed it! His voice sickens me almost as much as Obama’s and it is time for us to get him out of there as soon as possible.

2014 needs to be a blood bath for the Republican Party. The party is too corrupt and lacks ideological principal to continue. If Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and Paul Ryan are the best the party can offer we need to fold and hand the country over to the Dem and their socialist agenda.

Hopefully somebody will emerge from the shadows because if any of the three you mentioned is the GOP candidate we are doomed and I will not be voting for any of them.

Earlier he kicked out the Heritage foundation from the study group. He forgets from whence he came. No one out there to take him on?
