Professor faked AIDS vaccine data in order to receive $19 million in Federal grants, does this relate to climate change?

December 27, 2013

In a disgusting turn of events a professor has admitted to faking AIDS vaccine data in order to secure $19 million in Federal grant money.

An Iowa State University professor resigned after admitting he falsely claimed rabbit blood could be turned into a vaccine for the AIDS virus.

Dr. Dong-Pyou Han spiked a clinical test sample with healthy human blood to make it appear that the rabbit serum produced disease-fighting antibodies, officials said.

The bogus findings helped Han’s team obtain $19 million in research grants from the National Institutes of Health, said James Bradac, who oversees the institutes’ AIDS research.

To think that this man was so callous as to play with the hopes of people who are suffering through this terrible disease simply for monetary reasons is despicable and I hope he ends up going to jail for a long time, but that is not the point of this post for this play directly into a position I have held on global warming for quite some time.

Although I have not written about global warming in quite some time I have written on America’s Watchtower in the past about my belief that it was quite possible that some scientists and professors were willingly fudging the data in order to ensure they kept receiving Federal money. Climategate exposed the fraud and the attempt to hide the decline and I believe many people are willing to go along with the Obama regime’s radical climate agenda simply to keep the money flowing into the coffers.

Sure, this is only one example of a person abusing his position to retain Federal money (and it was not politically motivated) but I ask you this; is it beyond the realm of possibility to think that the Obama regime has let it be known that if you are not with him on climate change than you are against him? It makes you wonder how much of the Federal grants are doled out simply to promote a political agenda and are not really being used for its intended purpose.

If it can happen here it can happen elsewhere, just saying…..

That’s one of the reasons I’m a libertarian and support the separation of State and Science. All this grants do is corrupt people, they encourage lies and trickery in order to win money, they reward the results the government wants to get, not real science. Even if the government wanted to spend money on an honest study of global warming to see if its real, I would reject that expenditure. Let the private sector deal with it. We don’t need Unce Sam funding AIDS research or global warming. P.S. Government-funded research invented 3 drugs to fight AIDS, private research discovered more than 1,000. What does that tell you? The reason people don’t die of AIDS as quickly as they used to is thanks to those drug cocktails created by for profit companies.

Meanwhile we are not developing newer antibiotics. But then again, the Progressives think that there are far too many of us anyway.

Yeah, time for a little population control. That is one way to bring down the cost of healthcare.

There’s definately a great deal to know
about this topic. I really like all the points you’ve made.
