Democrat claims Obamacare enrollment numbers are low because people think the law was repealed

December 30, 2013

Democratic Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton has an interesting theory as to why so few people have enrolled in Obamacare to date:

“There are millions of people out there who think it was repealed, so there was no way to break through that very easily,”

ObamaCare In other words, it is the Republicans’ fault that people are not signing up for Obamacare because of the smear campaign they have run against the ill-fated law. Does anyone really believe that millions of Americans think Obamacare was repealed and that is the reason they are not signing up for it?

If that is true it just goes to show to scale of the uphill battle we are fighting against the ignorance of a large portion of the American people, but I think it is much more likely that she is simply grasping at straws while trying to deflect the blame of Obamacare’s failures. There is no way that millions of Americans are that clueless, is there? Maybe I just have more faith in the American people than she does.

However, she did go on to pin part of the blame on the disastrous roll out of the Obamacare website:

Norton also pointed out that the “debacle of a website” made matters worse because it “seemed to confirm that [the law] must have been repealed, or should have been repealed.”

And with that I can agree: The “debacle of a website” is all the proof I need that the law should have been repealed. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee were right all along…..

    Dennis,
The democrat machine has not yet begun to fight. Keep in mind the republicans must first prove they can fight their way out of a paper bag before any of us should believe the Obalama Care debacle will cost the commies a single vote. But then I’m an optimist.

Therein lies the problem, Obamacare should make 2014 and 2016 shoe-ins for the Republicans but they have a way of securing defeat from the jaws of victory and I do not trust them to pull this off.

The Democrats are really making a stretch here. If they really expect the American people to fall for this, then they have a serious reality problem.

The simple fact that those in Eleanor Holmes Norton’s congressional district keep re-electing her confirms what she is saying—at best they are uninformed and at worse just plain ignorant. These are the voters that Democrats depend on to come out overwhelming for the ticket to offset the votes of more informed. In the large urban areas of this country we have concentrations of such people and they make easy prey for such party leaders as Rep. Norton. She may just be passing the buck by trying to blame the Republicans, but the truth is she knows her constitutes very well and fully understands their inability to grasp what most of us know is true. The Democrats have depended on this group of stupid voters since the days of FDR and as long as they turn out and give the party some 90+ percent of their votes it will be all but impossible to stop politicians like, Norton and Sharpton, from controlling representation in the large metro centers of this nation. That along with what I fear in rampant voter fraud in those precients assures their place a the head of their party’s table.

“Repelled” is more like it. Even Obama’s minions couldn’t sign him up. I figured that was because of his fake paperwork and numbers (no such person exist), but maybe the computers even realize it’s ‘koo koo’!

The “Selective Service System confirmed for TruthorFiction.com that the Social Security number and the draft registration number on the document did indeed belong to Barack Obama and they have no other Social Security numbers associated with his name.” So … that’s THAT! (just be-lie-vee). btw: computerized voting machines are use to ‘dead people’ voting! I wonder how many will sign up for UNCare?!

Phew, I feel much better now. 😉
That is an interesting notion, perhaps they will fudge the numbers by registering dead people. Hell, their treatment won’t cost much! 🙂

I am afraid there are still those out there that get medical coverage whether they sign up for ACA or not. They do not worry about it, because “someone” will provide what they need. She is an idiot, always has been and always will be. She is a “delegate”, sort of sets her apart as being “special”, doesn’t it? So, yes there are those that will believe what they are being told. My brother thinks that the Republicans are trying to kill off all of the elderly Democrats with ACA, and no amount of talking to him makes a difference. I try to remind him that it was NOT the Republicans that put this monster into play, but for some reason that does not make a difference…they have taken it over and are doing this deed to the elderly. It seems that there are Republicans that are not going to get treatment as well under this ACA, SO, the Republicans are doing away with their own. Got any ideas to get thru to him? He is an educated 68 year old, but somewhere along the line he is not thinking clearly. He voted Obama in 2 times, in my book, he made a big mistake there. I have/had 2 brothers, they are/were both liberals, then there is ME, I am conservative…where did I go wrong?????

I share your head scratching Lou. This sickness is not confined to your siblings. New York City, the world’s center of finance, trade and capitalism has elected an overt, self proclaimed communist as it’s next mayor who campaigned on raising taxes and income redistribution. Rather than work his magic out if city hall should set up shop in the United Nations building whee he will feel right at home with his third world pals. For the umpteenth time I paraphrase Michael Savage in saying “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”

Personally I hope he bans everything and continues to expand the nanny state for that is what these people deserve!
