Emails suggest Chris Christie may have purposely created highway gridlock to punish a political opponent

January 8, 2014

 It is no secret that Chris Christie is going to run for president in 2016 but he just may have run into a little problem. Newly released emails show that some of his aides conspired to shut down all but one lane on the George Washington Bridge  in order to punish a political opponent.

Newly released emails and text messages show that Gov. Chris Christie’s office was closely involved with lane closings on the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge in September, and that officials closed the lanes as retribution against the Democratic mayor whose town was gridlocked as a result.

  When Chris Christie was running for reelection last year he apparently sought the endorsement of Democratic mayors across the state so that he would have bipartisan support for his reelection. He intended to use this bipartisan support as a positive in his campaign for president by claiming this was proof that only he could bring the country together.

    The mayor of Fort Lee refused to endorse him and then suddenly, on the first day of school, all but one lane of the George Washington Bridge was mysteriously, and without warning, shut down creating massive gridlock and it was done by his aides for retribution.

  Chris Christie is now claiming that he had no knowledge what his top aides were up to, saying he is “outraged” by this “unacceptable behavior” and claiming he was “mislead” by his aides. He sounds quite a bit like Barack Obama with this defense, doesn’t he?

  So either Chris Christie is lying about his involvement in this scandal or he has no idea what his underlings are up to. If the former is true it shows that, much like Barack Obama, he is not above punishing his political opponents. If the latter is true he is not competent enough to be president of the United States and it also shows a real lack of judgement in hiring people of such low moral character as to disqualify him from holding the office he will be seeking in 2016.

  I happen to believe he knew exactly what was going on and condoned it. If this it true we already have a Chicago thug in the White House, do we really want a New Jersey thug to replace him? SO much for bringing Republicans and Democrats together…..

    CC’s ego is apparently is as big as his belt size. What makes him think think his brand will play outside of Trenton? Rudy Giuliani is a hell lot more affable and he could not gain traction nationally. Another delusional politicians. Stop drinking the kool-aid. We do not need a BO groupie!

    Well, you never know. Like a true RINO, Christie has his nose up somebody’s tailpipe. {Photo on my side of the blog}
