Have you heard of Operation Choke Point? It just might be the latest Obama regime scandal
According to this article Darrell Issa might be preparing to launch an investigation into the Obama regime’s ‘Operation Choke Point,’ claiming the regime might be using this policy to shakedown and intimidate banks.
Darrell Issa sent a letter to Eric Holder and here is part of what it said:
In the letter, Issa and Jordan stated, “[t]he [House Oversight and Government Reform] Committee is concerned that both the goal and mechanisms of Operation Choke Point may constitute a serious mismanagement and abuse of the Department’s FIRREA [Financial Institution Reform and Recovery Act of 1989] authority.”
“There is evidence,” they wrote, “that the true goal of Operation Choke Point is to target online lenders and the payment processors who serve them.” They stated further, “[t]he extraordinary breadth of the Department’s dragnet prompts concern that the true goal of Operation Choke Point is not to cut off actual fraudsters’ access to the financial system, but rather to eliminate legal financial services to which the Department objects.”
Issa and Jordan also told Attorney General Holder in the letter, “[i]t appears the Department has indiscriminately targeted an access point to the financial system that countless legitimate merchants rely upon simply because it is ‘faster’ than targeting the actual perpetrators of fraud.” The Department of Justice, they wrote, is “needlessly punishing good actors with the bad, and threatening legitimate merchants.”

Breitbart News broke the story Wednesday morning that the Obama administration launched ‘Operation Choke Point’ out of the Department of Justice in 2013 for the express purpose of destroying three key sectors of the private lending industry: third party payment processors (“TPPPs”), online lenders, and payday lenders.

Operation Choke Point is the perfect opportunity for Obalama to bring another all time favorite of the scammer community into his administration. Who better than the man who perfected the science of the corporate shakedown. Jesse ” I have a scheme” Jackson. He will not only choke the banks but have them bending over and spreading their cheeks. Now if the racist in the White House can name Al Sharpton as the congressional chaplain we can all sleep easier.

Issa opens investigations a lot but nothing ever really comes out of them. It seems like his position doesn’t really have any teeth.

Frustrating, isn’t it, Ben? I mean, what good is it to have Congress hold ‘hearings’ when NOTHING HAPPENS because of them? Contempt charges on Holder that the (in)Justice Dept just refuses to prosecute; obama ‘recess’ appts ruled unconstitutional, yet those people are still in their position – obama JUST IGNORED the ruling; Benghazi hearings – nothing happened. I know people claim there’s TO investigate about Benghazi, but when we have conflicting testimony – something IS there. Did we ever find out WHERE obama was, what he was doing, and WHY he WASN’T doing his job that night?
We have an illegitimate and lawless federal government; state governments so addicted to federal money that THEY aren’t fulfilling THEIR duty to protect us from unconstitutional federal actions; and a People who are ‘supposed’ to be the guardians of the Constitution AND keep a tight hold on the reins of government, who care only that they get their ‘free’ stuff from the government.

It is frustrating as hell, it is almost as if they are putting on a show for us to make it look as though they are trying when really they know the truth and are keeping it from us at the same time because they are guilty as well.
