Open thread for Sunday, January 19th: Electric Eye
Here is the open thread for Sunday, January 19th; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
As usual you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is going on in the world. You can also subscribe to receive email updates and if you do you will never miss a post again.
In case you have not noticed I have replaced the old Twitter widget with a new, fully interactive Twitter widget. This widget updates my tweets in near real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. Is also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
Please check out what the New Federalist Party has been up to by clicking on the link to the right. On the NFP Facebook page you will find a link to the party platform. Check it out and if you like what you see we are currently looking for donations and delegates to the states for the convention.
Now on to the musical selection of the week: I have used this song before, but the NSA spying scandal was back in the news this week after Barack Obama held a press conference and basically stated that the NSA is doing nothing wrong and will continue to collect data on virtually every single American, but will let a private company store our data to make us feel better, so I decided to use the song again. That was a bit of a run-on sentence, wasn’t it? Oh well, I changed the video so it wouldn’t be exactly the same.
Here is Judas Priest performing ‘Electric Eye.’
Up here in space
I’m looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do
You think you’ve private lives
Think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape
I’m watching all the time
I’m made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean
I’m elected electric spy
I’m protected electric eye
Always in focus
You can’t feel my stare
I zoom into you
You don’t know I’m there
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove
Electric eye, in the sky
Feel my stare, always there
There’s nothing you can do about it
Develop and expose
I feed upon your every thought
And so my power grows
I’m made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean

The CD I have is Night Time, which I guess is their fourth of fifth CD. I read about Killing Joke today and saw that this was about when they changed. I like it but will have to listen to the earlier stuff.

This is pretty comical: http://dailypicksandflicks.com/2014/01/19/snl-piers-morgan-cold-open-mocks-chris-christie-justin-bieber-and-a-rod-video/
SNL Cold Open featured ‘Piers Morgan Live’ interviews with Chris Christie, Alex Rodriguez and Justin Bieber.

Not sure if anyone has seen this: http://www.fairus.org/action/cost-of-illegal-immigration-at-the-state-level
Now, after seeing what Illinois forks out for illegals in my state, no wonder our taxes are so high. It is NOT to support the law abiding AMERICANS that live in my state, oh no!!! My blood is boiling at a little higher temperature after reading this. See how your state stacks up to Illinois. California is higher, but I expected that.

I hadn’t seen that, thanks for sharing it. The Feds are not enforcing the laws and at the same time the states are being forced to pay for the Feds not enforcing the law. Sickening!
