The NAACP calls black Republican Senator Tim Scott a ventriloquist dummy

January 21, 2014

Oh the tolerant liberal left! There are only two black Senators in the “upper chamber” and one of them, Tim Scott, just happens to be a Republican. This does not sit well with the left, and the NAACP, which feels it has a monopoly when it comes to black people.

The NAACP came out hard against Senator Scott on Martin Luther King Day, bashing him for leaving the Democratic plantation:

A prominent NAACP official recognized Martin Luther King Day by labeling black senator Tim Scott a puppet for the Republican party. “A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy,” said Reverend William Barber II, the president of North Carolina’s NAACP chapter.

The State reports that Barber’s remarks came in a speech in Scott’s home state of South Carolina. “The extreme right wing down here,” he said, “finds a black guy to be senator and claims he’s the first black senator since Reconstruction and then he goes to Washington, D.C., and articulates the agenda of the Tea Party.”

According to the NAACP, Senator Scott is nothing but a dummy because he is being used by the Republicans and the Tea Party–how offensive is that?

What is most offensive in this comment is the fact that the liberal left thinks that all black people are the same, cannot think for themselves, and should vote the same way based on the color of their skin because they need the government to take care of them. This in and of itself seems like a racist position to take.

Senator Scott handled the attack, as you would expect, with dignity and grace:

“I will honor the memory of Dr. King by being proactive in holding the door for others and serving my fellow man. And Rev. Barber will remind me and others of what not to do,”

I stand continually amazed at the willingness of black Democrats to attack black Republicans in very derogatory terms. If Republicans, black or white, tried that same tactic, there would be hell to pay in the media.

Double speak, according to Orwell is the ability to hold two contradictory thoughts at one time. On the other hand, I am not sure if the left has ever had one thought.

The left hasn’t had one good thought, but Obama is a master of double speak. That is for sure.

I wonder … is there any organization on the planet more irrelevant than the NAACP?

Those on the left are practicing a new form of segregation—-that of separating people according to political orientation as Governor Cuomo would like to do in New York.

Exactly Ron, all these policies of affirmative action do is divide us, not make us more equal. And that of course is the true goal of these policies anyway.

The NAACP are nothing but bullies and it seems they do not care what color your skin is when they attack. Is it THEM that are finally showing THEIR true colors?
