New study claims Pacific winds are to blame for the slowdown in global warming

  In case you are unawares many of the global warming alarmists have reluctantly been forced to admit that the warming has stopped and the earth has been cooling since 2001, if not before that date. Needless to say this has the alarmists alarmed as they seek to find an explanation to determine why their end of days prophesies (for this is a religion, complete with sins against the earth and repentance through cap and trade, and their belief in their god, nature, which created us through evolution) have not come true.

  According to this story they have determined that Pacific Ocean winds are to credit blame for the cooling temperatures over the last decade or so:

Stronger Pacific Ocean winds may help explain the slowdown in the rate of global warming since the turn of the century, scientists said.

More powerful winds in the past 20 years may be forcing warmer seas deeper and bringing cooler water to the surface, 10 researchers from the U.S. and Australia said today in the journal Nature. That has cooled the average global temperature by as much as 0.2 degree Celsius (0.36 Fahrenheit) since 2001.

  In other words nature is taking care of itself, just as many of us have said it would all along, however they remain undeterred in their doomsday prophesies:

“This hiatus could persist for much of the present decade if the tradewind trends continue; however rapid warming is expected to resume once the anomalous wind trends abate,” the authors of today’s study said. “Volcanoes and changes in solar radiation can also drive cooler decades against the backdrop of ongoing warming,” they said.

  Apparently they expect us to believe that once the natural winds subside nature will once again unleash its global warming fury against us global warming apostates. For you see, they use nature to explain what is beneficial to their agenda while at the same time blaming man when it is also beneficial to them.

  They cannot have it both ways, but take a look at this paragraph from the article linked to above:

Scientists have been trying to find out why the rate of global warming has eased in the past 20 years while greenhouse-gas emissions have surged to a record. 

  It seems to me that there is an obvious answer to this phenomenon and that is this: greenhouse gasses and carbon emissions have nothing to do with a natural warming period and we are now in the midst of a natural cooling period.

  But of course the global warming alarmists can have none of that for it is heresy.
