Barack Obama’s clean coal policy will cause energy prices to rise 70-80%…..for starters
I first read about this story over at Bunkerville, so a hat tip is in order.
The Obama regime has admitted that the president’s clean coal policies will cause the price of energy to rise 70-80% for starters, with even higher costs in the future:
Dr. Julio Friedmann, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Clean Coal, tells Congress that their new carbon capture technology will raise wholesale prices of electricity by 70% – 80%. And then subsequent technology will raise the cost even more

This, of course, should come as no surprise because Barack Obama himself stated that under his radical energy policy the price of energy would “necessarily skyrocket” as he put coal plants out of business:

Maybe, just maybe, the American people should have listened to what Barack Obama was saying because this is one promise the president intends to keep. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention.
The question begging to be asked at this point is the following: who are these policies going to hurt the most? It will not be the rich for they can absorb these costs and it will not be the poor for they already receive government assistance. No, it will be middle class America asked to sacrifice for the “common good” just as it always is.
And didn’t Barack Obama once proclaim himself to be a middle class warrior?
