New poll shows independents turning against Barack Obama’s agenda in a big way

February 14, 2014

A new poll has been released which shows that independent voters are turning on Barack Obama and his agenda in a big way on several issues:

Sixty-six percent of independents, and 90 percent of Republicans said they disapprove of “Barack Obama going around Congress and using executive orders.”

Sixty-two percent of independents, and 81 percent of Republicans, said the federal government is providing too many services to too many people.

Sixty-seven percent of independents, and 64 percent of Republicans, said the federal government’s policies have increased the wealth gap between rich and poor.

And what is the establishment Republicans’ plan to hold onto the House and gain control of the Senate in the 2014 election?

The establishment Republicans have made the political calculation that they must move to the center, in other words become more like the president, if they are to have any hope at capturing the Senate.

This seems like political suicide to me in light of this new poll, but what do I know?

Joe Biden recently proclaimed that there is no Republican party and he lamented the demise of a united Republican party for it makes it harder for the Democrats to pass compromise legislation which we now know the American public is in disagreement with:

“There isn’t a Republican Party,” Biden said, addressing the House Democratic retreat in Cambridge, Md. “I wish there were. I wish there was a Republican Party. I wish there was one person you could sit across the table from, make a deal, make a compromise, and know when you got up from that table it was done. That’s what political parties, that’s what Nancy [Pelosi]‘s able to do. That’s what the president’s able to commit to.”

“All you had to do was look at the response to the State of the Union — what were there, three or four?” Biden went on, referring to the three different responses given by Republicans:

Joe Biden is actually right about this, but there is good reason for the fracturing of the Republican party and the multiple responses to the State of the Union Address: a growing number of Americans feel as if the Republican party no longer represents them. And this poll shows us that a large number of people now feel as if the Democratic party does not represent them either, so people are looking for an alternative. I happen to feel that alternative is the New Federalist Party, but that is besides the point.

These voters now feel as if neither party has their best interests at heart, and for good reason, and while that might be an inconvenience to the Vice President perhaps he, and the establishment Republicans, should consider how the American people feel about what is happening in Washington DC, because then, and only then, will they be able to unite the American people.

We do not like watching the two major parties morph into a gigantic, bloated leviathan also known as the ruling class elite.

Bull dinkies. These clods elected Obalama twice; the second time after four full years of his anti-america agenda that embraced Barrycare, fast and furious, voter fraud, lying, Arab Soring, his apology tour, etcetera. If Obama ran today he would win in my humble opinion, Polls and the people answering their questions lie.

I hear you there Peter, the polls never seem to reflect reality. But perhaps now the people are actually feeling the pain of Obama first hand. Sometimes that is the only way for people to realize they made a mistake.

Obama evolved. Is it possible that some voters are finally evolving? Or, is it devolving?

Living among some of the most ignorant voters in the Union tends to cause one not to abandon one’s pragmatic pessimism… Uhm Uhm Uhm.

I can understand that. I keep watching the voters in Massachusetts keep on voting for one party rule in that state.

There is a reality disconnect between the polls about party loyalty and who they would support for the next President. The MOP is spinning stories faster than you can say BO’s full name. Don’t worry China is going to start a war to save itself economically and BO is going to crown himself emperor for life.

He sure is trying to but it is not working out so well for him, donations to his organizations are down 98% in the last year.

I’m hoping something starts changing. Some days I just can’t believe the things people will accept.

I hear you there! The more the government gets away with the more they will try to get away with. At some point the people have to reach a breaking point, don’t they?
