Gun grabbing California Democratic State Senator arrested for arms trafficking

 Last week was not a good week for Democrats at the State level with four indictments being handed down. America’s Watchtower did not cover those stories but there is one in particular that is so ironic it can be ignored no longer and that is the story of Leland Yee, the California Democratic State Senator, who was arrested for arms trafficking.

  Leland Yee just happens to be a gun control advocate who has voted several times to deny Californians their second amendment rights and who sponsored a bill to ban assault weapons in the state of California.

  Here is the story.

A state senator who authored gun control legislation asked for campaign donations in exchange for introducing an undercover FBI agent to an arms trafficker, according to court documents unsealed Wednesday.

 Apparently he wanted to get legal guns off the street so that he could then sell illegal weapons to the same people he is pretending to be trying to protect from gun violence. He didn’t like the competition.

  In addition to this he was also allegedly accepting bribes for his vote, but then there is the part of the story that it seems is being largely ignored and that is how this all ties to a Muslim separatist group in the Philippines.

Yee discussed helping the agent get weapons worth $500,000 to $2.5 million, including shoulder-fired missiles, and explaining the entire process of acquiring them from a Muslim separatist group in the Philippines to bringing them to the U.S.

  This was more than simply an arm trafficking scheme for  he was allegedly seeking to help someone purchase not only the same types of assault weapons he voted to ban but also such weapons as shoulder fired missiles. Now why in hell would he want to help bring these types of weapons into the United States? And who was going to end up with these weapons? Was Yee simply interested in the money and did not care what happened to the weapons once they were here? 

  This might provide some insight, here is what he said to an undercover agent:

“There’s a part of me that wants to be like you,” he told the undercover agent, according to the affidavit. “You know how I’m going to be like you? Just be a free agent there.”

  He apparently was intending to head to the Philippines and become a “free agent” there once things began to happen here. Again, it makes you wonder why, if he is found guilty, he was interested in helping to bring shoulder fired missiles into the United States, where were these weapons going to end up–I find it highly unlikely gangs were going to end up with these weapons–and what that person intending to do with these weapons?

  And does anyone else find it interesting that he was able to explain to the undercover agent how to go about smuggling these types of weapons into the United States from a Muslim separatist group in the Philippines? It is almost like he has done it before.

  There are still many unanswered questions but I think there is much more to this story than we are being told.
