Benghazi: CIA officer in Libya told his superiors there was no protest before Susan Rice lied to the American people

April 1, 2014

This story does not tell us anything we did not already know but it is noteworthy anyway because it confirms what many of us have known for a long time. The attack in Benghazi did not grow out of a spontaneous protest as were were told, and either the CIA or the Obama regime apparently purposely downplayed the role al-Qaeda had in the attack.

The CIA official on the ground in Libya has stated that one day before Susan Rice made her now infamous rounds on the Sunday talk show he informed his superior, Michael Morell, that the attack had nothing to do with any protest because there weren’t any protests. Yet the CIA still went with the false narrative.

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show.

The attack was “not an escalation of protests,” the station chief wrote to then-Deputy CIA Director Michael J. Morell in an email dated Sept. 15, 2012 — a full day before the White House sent Susan E. Rice to several Sunday talk shows to disseminate talking points claiming that the Benghazi attack began as a protest over an anti-Islam video.

This, of course, does not mean that the Obama regime knew about what he said, it only means that his superiors knew about this. It could simply be the CIA which made the determination on its own to change the talking points in order to save their own asses, however it has been previously reported that the State Department ordered the talking points to be changed 12 times before Susan Rice lied to the American people. So what is the truth? Personally I find it hard to believe the CIA Deputy Director would not find this information interesting or important enough to pass on up the chain.

Although Michael Morell has refused to state whether or not he passed this information to the Obama regime at least one former CIA official close to Mr. Morell has stated he did in fact tell the regime and his report was ignored.

Another former intelligence official told The Times that Mr. Morell did tell the White House and the State Department that the CIA station chief in Libya had concluded that there was no protest but senior Obama administration and CIA officials in Washington ignored the assessment.

Michael Morell is scheduled to testify in front of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence tomorrow and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about this.

Wait…..are you saying they lied?! Heavy sarcasm there, sorry. Benghazi is just one lie after another. It’s like trying to peel the layers off an onion. This news is interesting however, it’s evidence that there was something seriously amiss with the official explanation.

Yes, nothing we didn’t already know, but the confirmation may help get the news to others who are slowly awakening. Thanks for posting.

You are welcome. While this is nothing we didn’t already know it is more confirmation and hopefully if we repeat this enough more people will realize the regime has not been honest with us.
