Latest poll shows Scott Brown with a huge lead in the New Hampshire Republican primary

June 20, 2014

The latest poll is out in New Hampshire and it should come as no surprise that Scott Brown has a big lead over his primary opponents.

Brown led Smith, 40.3 to 12.2 percent, with 3.6 percent for Rubens

However the news is not all good for the carpetbagging former Massachusetts Senator for, in addition to trailing Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen by 10 points in the general election, this poll still shows 38% of the people undecided.

That is a huge number of undecided voters and with Scott Brown’s name recognition and his voting record in Washington on full display it shows us that many of the voters still are distrustful of him and are hoping for a viable alternative. It is not like Scott Brown is an unknown–he is known and nearly 40% of those surveyed still have not made up their mind.

In the end even if most of the undecideds vote for an alternative candidate the votes will be split and Scott Brown will win the nomination, but the real trouble is going to be in the general election. If this many voters have not made up their mind about Scott Brown I believe in the end those same voters will pull the lever for Jeanne Shaheen in the general election.

But it is still very early…..

Given the lack of virtue and commonsense of voters these days, my guess is that Shaheen, Obamacare cheerleader, has a better than even chance of prevailing in a general election. And so goes this once great republic. The majority reaps what it sows.

Sadly I think you are right; Shaheen is going to win quite easily in my opinion in an election where she should be vulnerable. The Republicans in New Hampshire are in disarray and they have no real leadership.
