The IRS agrees to pay $50,000 for illegally leaking tax return before the 2012 election

June 25, 2014

The IRS targeting scandal may be making all the headlines in recent days but this is not the only scandal the corrupt agency has been embroiled in. The agency was also being sued by the National Organization for Marriage for illegally leaking that organization’s tax records to a political opponent in the middle of the 2012 election campaign.

In February 2012, the Human Rights Campaign posted on its web site NOM’s 2008 tax return and the names and contact information of the marriage group’s major donors, including soon-to-be Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. That information then was published by the Huffington Post and other liberal-leaning news sites.

Yesterday the IRS admitted wrongdoing and agreed to pay the National Organization for Marriage $50,000. Here is part of what NOM Chairman John Eastman had to say:

“In the beginning, the government claimed that the IRS had done nothing wrong and that NOM itself must have released our confidential information,” read a statement from NOM Chairman John D. Eastman. “Thanks to a lot of hard work, we’ve forced the IRS to admit that they in fact were the ones to break the law and wrongfully released this confidential information.”

That is a good start but a felony has been committed here and I think it is time for some criminal charges; it is quite clear to me the Obama regime is using the IRS to intimidate and punish his political opponents.

Not a smidgen of corruption? Now if we could just find out how Harry Reid knew what was in Mitt Romney’s tax returns before the 2012 election…..

Nothing will be done. People just don’t have the will to properly prosecute a Black POTUS or his cronies.

We are on the same page today. I give you my comments I made:
Opportunity missed big time. So the IRS settles without going to court for a measly $50,000? Had the organization gone to court, discovery would have revealed names, names names. That is what we want. And we want the names to go to jail. The National Organization for marriage did an epic fail. NOM feels relief? After your donor list was revealed???? How about the damage to your donors?

So the name of the so called “Conduit” who leaked will never be revealed.

So the IRS pays a fine with tax-payers money, no skin off their chin. Who gets paid … back it goes into the corruption pot! Anything done by them or any agency of the Gov. is with other people’s money – the very targets of their greed and control. And, they excuse themselves, or ‘justify’ themselves by saying they’ve done nothing wrong. Question: What ‘right’ have they done?
Growing up we were taught to ‘believe’ that the Gov. was good and moral. Now we find, after taking off scale after scale of lie upon lie, the deception and fraud. The majority of people have a God-given moral compass and conscience (that still works and one abides by) that respects the offices of rule and government, and prevents them from taking the Law into their own hands to clean out the trash. The lawful battling the unlawful (who use any means to get what they want). It’s more than just a battle of the flesh, and the spiral is spinning inward to a conclusion.
“For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:” 2 Peter 2:8-9 (Good for some, not so good for others, but that’s their choice).

Yep, they get off by taking our money ad paying off NOM and now we will not get to the bottom of this scandal either! But don’t worry, there isn’t even a smidgen of corruption here…..
