Sarah Palin says it is time to impeach Barack Obama

July 8, 2014

Sarah Palin wrote an opinion piece for Breitbart in which she said that it is time to impeach Barack Obama. Here is the money quote:

It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.

The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.

The calls for impeachment have grown since Barack Obama’s willingness to ignore immigration law has led to a flood of illegal aliens crossing the border and Sarah Palin is the most high-profile Republican to call for impeachment, but I have to say this is misguided.

This type of rhetoric, in my opinion, is designed to fire up the Republican base but if the base is not already fired up it will never be. All this will accomplish, again in my opinion, is to fire up the Democratic base which to this point seems to be lethargic and unenthusiastic heading into the 2014 election as they will come to the defense of the beleaguered president. This type of rhetoric will have the opposite results of what is intended and one has to wonder if this is nothing but an attempt by Sarah Palin to keep her name in the news.

Here is a newsflash for Republican voters: no matter how much you believe Barack Obama deserves to be impeached, and no matter how much you long to see him impeached, it is never going to happen. Even if the House voted to impeach Barack Obama there is no way in hell the Democratic controlled Senate will ever vote to convict him so this is an exercise in futility. It might make you feel good but what would it actually accomplish other than to drive Obama supporters to the polls?

Republican voters, and Republican leaders, would be better of sticking to and debating the issues. If we cannot debate and win on the issues then we simply do not deserve to win; that might sound harsh but I believe it is the truth.

If we can’t impeach him, can we at least turn Hillary loose on him? I’d pay to see that.

Yes, you’re right Steve … darn it. I was glad to she her state that, but there are too many rats in the cellar and too many bats in the belfry! And Boner is one of them, plus the Rinos.

This is why Boehner is filing that lawsuit against Obama; it makes it look as though he is trying to do something but at the same time it will accomplish nothing.

Yep. These guys aren’t worthy enough to even carry the boots of Washington, or likes of his kind.

I agree, Steve. All the talk of impeachment is just lip service. Boehner’s lawsuit is the same thing. It’s something else, though. It is unconstitutional and a violation of the separation of powers.

Congress already has all the authority it needs to take action. That action is impeachment. There is no Constitutional authority for a member of Congress to sue the president for not carrying out his duties. The courts have no authority in this matter.

What would a ruling by SCOTUS do anyway? obama has already ignored every court ruling with which he disagrees. SCOTUS has already ruled that obama acted unconstitutionally. Another ruling against him would mean nothing. SCOTUS has no way to enforce their rulings. Congress has shown it won’t carry out its Constitutional duty. Boehner’s lawsuit is futile and a waste of time.

The federal government is illegitimate. All 3 branches have given us plenty of evidence of their illegitimacy.

Congress will not act. The People have no way of impacting the actions of the president or the courts, except non-compliance. The states CAN nullify unconstitutional laws and not comply. Bless the ones who are doing so.

Here is something the People CAN do – RECALL U.S. representatives.

I know SCOTUS has ruled we can’t based on the Constitution saying each ‘…House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.’

However, the Constitution says MAY, it does not say SHALL as it does in the clause before and after this one. Nor does it give each House the SOLE authority in this matter as it does regarding impeachment and trying that impeachment.

The People can recall state representatives, the People can also recall U.S. representatives. The People put them there, the People can remove them.

We know Congress will do nothing. The People must use our power to govern ourselves and begin to remove representatives who have violated their oath, the Constitution, and the Will of the People.

You are right, this is all lip service. Boehner is suing to make it look like he is doing something while he is really doing nothing. The ball is in our court, it is time we hold ALL of these people accountable!

I used to listen to Neal Boortz on the radio until he retired….he still writes a blog, so I found this today. I thought you might want to read it, gives a good background about what we have put in our White House.

Obama can, and should, be impeached. However, the corrupt Democrats in the Senate would block conviction. Therefore, I believe the people themselves should take the initiative and remove Obama from office by following the process outlined in chapter 19 of John Locke’s “Second Treatise of Government.” I outline the reasons why Obama should be removed from office and Locke’s prescription for putting the old form of government, i.e., our constitutional republic, into new hands in a short book, which is available for free at http://www.chapter19.us/whatthen.pdf

No teleprompter, slurring his words, stuttering, jiving???? Look at his eyes! This is the first truthful thing I have heard him say! The strange thing is that those sitting behind him, think he is Mr. Wonderful.
